I tried a diet coke today...
Thank you everyone for your insight. It is very much appreciated. I was a little harsh on Screwballski and I apologized to her. So all peace and harmony in the VSG realm.

I tried a diet coke today...
I am scared of food in a general sense because I do not want to go back to who I was a year ago pre-sleeved. Yes, I did have an unhealthy relationship with food. I am not one of those people that thinks that surgery is the be all end all fix to losing weight. I have been somewhat regimented on my post op journey and it certainly has yielded results. My doctor said I would hit my goal within six months and he was right. I have no problems eating in moderation or until full, but I am weary of having certain foods that I would eat in excess when I was heavy such as pasta, rice, etc. Soda was also a big staple in my old unhealthy life.

So yay! I thought this was a judgement free site. Silly me for thinking I wasn’t going to get condescending comments. If you were actually paying attention I am actually one pound below my goal. But thanks for your input- I tried a diet coke today...
No, not really. Then again I took small sips.- I tried a diet coke today...
Even though it is ingrained in our brain that carbonation is the devil, I tailgated today with some friends and had a diet coke and some Jack Daniels. I poured a little bit of the soda in a cup to sip to see if there were any adverse effects, I didn't have any. I nursed that drink over the course of an hour and was ok, nothing happened. I almost feel guilty for doing it. I am about six months post of and one pound away from my personal goal. I kind of am still scared of food but I am trying to overcome that.- Oh how the tables have turned......
Who is peeing in the pool? LOL- Biker question
Harley owner here. I find it so much easier to ride longer distances with having back pain from the extra weight. I find myself being able to maneuver so much easier (backing into spots, k turns, etc).- Oh how the tables have turned......
He is definitely a true friend. A friendship that has been built over two decades. In all due respect, you don't know the semantics of the early stages of the friendship. They were my feelings based upon actual social behavior on his part, and how do you know he didn't go out of his way? He actually did. However with that being said over the years he has matured as we all do and he is a good friend.- New York City

- Flat out wraps
Hey everyone. I tried this wrap today. It was actually good. I put two ounces of sliced chicken breast, fat free ranch, and some lettuce. I actually ate the whole thing. I feel guilty because I am trying to stay low carb so yeah, I am scared of food. 90 cals 15 carbs.- Am I the only one?
I feel like it is a double standard. Like they can "accidentally" post here, but if someone posted in their sacred territory, there would be hell to pay.- I hit onederland!
You will!- I hit onederland!
Thanks it's a strange feeling.- I hit onederland!
Well, I am officially below 200 lbs. I simply cannot believe it. It almost doesn't feel real to me. I never thought in a million years I would accomplish any weight loss goals let alone get below 200 lbs. I have gotten a lot of good advice from members on here and I want to thank you all. Although our journeys are all unique they all revolve around the same basic premise, changing our lives for the better. I still have so much work to do such as working out harder, coming to terms with the new me I am striving everyday to be better. I ask myself, why didn't I do this sooner? I had a great day today.- I Want To See Before & After Pics! (Cont'd)
- Flat out wraps
Thank you for posting this. I tried a low carb wrap about two months ago and I couldn't finish two bites. I put scrambled eggs in it. It was a low carb wrap, I forgot the brand but it wasn't soft but rather hard.- Oh how the tables have turned......
Ever since I can remember, I have been the "fat guy". That is what I was known for. I never took my shirt off at a pool or a beach, ever! That is something I want to change though. So, my best friend who I graduated high school together has always been much slimmer, popular, girls flocked to him; I sure you get the drift. Although we have been friends for over two decades I feel he never took me seriously because of my weight. At parties, clubs, bars, social situations I was always the one who was ignored and not payed attention too. Well, he moved out of state and we see each other about twice a year. He has a very stressful job and as a result has been emotionally eating and gained a significant amount of weight. He is one of the few that know that I had my surgery and he is very supportive. We saw each other for the first time in over a year last week and guess what...drum roll.....I weigh less than him. He even made a comment on how I was flirting with the waitress at the restaurant we met at. It felt like I was in his shoes for once. It felt truly that the tables have turned.- Instagram Friends!
Yes, I am on the gram too for regular day to day shennanigans, but I am seriously considering making one for WLS.- Instagram Friends!
I am thinking of making an Instagram for my progress, however I am on the down low because only five people know I have had the surgery.- Anyone from Dfw area?
I’m supposed to move back!! I live in Missouri City/Sugar Land areas I wish I knew where they were, I know nothing about Texas other then they have great bbq.- Anyone from Dfw area?
I am just visiting, I still have to put my house on the market. It's a process. - I tried a diet coke today...
