I quit smoking 3weeks before my first pre op appt with an occasional slip here and there u have to a negative nicotine test if you were a previous smoker so because I slipped and smoked a few cigs now I have to wait three more weeks before the test and I'm drinking detox tea everyday you have to not smoke at all for 4 weeks in order for all nicotine to leave your system that was the second to last thing I had to accomplish before all paper work will be submitted and PRAYERFULLY approved for gastric sleeve surgery Sent from my SM-J700T1 using BariatricPal mobile app

Hi Jaz I'm cherelle 27 years old and weighs 303 I just started my journey as well I met with the surgeon the dietitian and the psyche doctor all in the same day now I'm In the process of having all my cardiac clearances passed once that's done my advocate told me she submits all paper work then u have a answer within a week from your insurance so I'm hoping and praying to have everything done by end of March beginning of April good luck!!!
