  1. I have not had surgery YET, but currently take protonix and carafate for GERD and it works great. I have to take carafate 4x’s a day.
  2. Hi! I too have Tricare prime...but remote. I will be having my first appointment soon. I’m interested in how smooth this will go with Tricare.
  3. Thank you and tell your son thank you for us as well. This is almost 26 years for my husband and 4 deployments (national guard) but he says this is his last one. He is also army. I have a son in the navy stationed in Japan. I feel like my guys are all over the place lol I still have three boys at home...I can’t wait to be the best I can be for them...they really really need me present in all capacity right now. What did your son do in the army?
  4. As far as soda for your boys (I also have 4 boys), try soda stream...my kids have really loved it!
  5. I was dreading telling my husband...then my dr recommended the surgery for PCOS so then I felt better. He is deployed so that was an awkward texting conversation lol. Maybe I’ll be the BEST version of me when October rolls around! [emoji177][emoji631]

  7. Hi! I am new as well. Ive seen a few names on other threads that I see here. I haven’t had my first appointment yet but oddly enough I had already had 95% of the tests and requirements done so I just had to have it all faxed over. I have to attend a seminar on Monday then I will have my first appointment. I know exactly what you are saying about not feeling comfortable in your own skin. I cannot wait for that day again! I also have PCOS and this is what my endocrinologist Recommended. Can’t wait to see your progress and everyone else’s! Prayers for everyone going through their struggles and journeys [emoji177]
  8. Anyone with a 36-7 BMI with good success with sleeve surgery having PCOS? I know I love all kinds of food so I would consider myself a foodie however I didn’t feel like I have an inappropriate relationship with it. I only say that bc on another thread some people were talking about food addiction which I feel is different than myself and possibly others looking to or have already had surgery. My question is, what has been y’all success having PCOS?
  9. PCOS....bc, well, it sucks.....lol
  10. I got my referral approved today! My endocrinologist actually approached me with this so I didn’t even have to bring it up. The lady at the surgery place said my metformin counts as weight loss program and I was on it for over 6 months so that is my “in” for that. No Jenny or neutrisystem bs. I am going to have my pcm send my records and I have even (recently) had a full heart Work up. So I now just need my psych evaluation and a couple of other things.
  11. was it hard to be approved with PCOS thru insurance?was the wait and the same as if someone didnt have issues? I am literally soaking up all of this information...I have an appointment with my endocrinologist this week and am going to discuss surgery...im super nervous!
