  3. Tomorrow is the day I am worried about this and I don't know why? My husband has to work tomorrow (he just started a new job and could not get off to take me) so my brother in law is driving me to the hospital. I will have my overnight bag but I'm so worried about what will happen to it while I am in surgery, you know my wallet and personal items will be in there what do they do with our stuff when we don't have someone there waiting?
  4. Right on sister, I feel the same way, I'll make my goal come hell or high water! My brain has been in fat mode for 40 years, that isn't going to fix itself, I know I have to kick some ass and there is plenty to kick. Keep on keepin on you have a great attitude and damn your almost there
  5. Well I'm almost there...Wednesday is the day and I am so ready. I started this journey in December. Good luck to everyone on their journey and cant wait to hear from all of you

  8. I started with a BMI of 40.3 and while waiting on my surgery I now have a BMI of 35.7. My surgery date is May 16th through Kaiser. I have high blood pressure though.
  9. Well today is one week away from my surgery and I have to pre register at the Hospital. It is defiantly getting REAL....
  10. I love being outside in our yard, we have planted a garden already for this year. I don't like the weed pulling (my hubby will do that for us) but everything else I love and looking at the accomplishments afterwards. Spring is the best, just cool enough to work outside. Keep up the good work, you are doing amazing!
  11. Thank you all for your suggestions!
  12. Thanks all! I have been using the premier protein drinks and I don't think I will like them much later on.
  13. I have surgery in one week and one day to We have this and on our way woo hoo
  14. Hi all, I am trying to get my act together before the 16th and just need some recommendations for protein powders. I think a non flavored one will work best for me, that way I can add to anything.
  15. I'm May 16th, so I will be looking forward to hearing from you and your journey
  16. I am 5'4 and my HW231, my CW205 and my surgery date is May 16th. I set a goal weight of 150 and actually my doctor asked me what I wanted to get to and my surgeon has never asked me. I cant remember being under 150 for so long as I will try to reach that first.
  17. I have thought about doing that several times, and what stops me is 1) I don't want to have extra pounds to loose pre op and 2) Me personally I would have a guilt trip to live with. My surgeon said don't look at this as a diet, you have been there and done that, look at this as a new start to a new you That is what keeps me going....
  18. Today I am starting my 2 week pre op diet. Here is what it looks like I am using Premier Protein for a meal replacement and Smart Ones frozen entrees for dinner.
  19. So I have been on my journey since December, and my surgery is right around the corner. I work with 8 men, I am the only female. I have lost 25 pounds since December and no one has mentioned anything, maybe they are afraid of something LOL. Anyway one of my coworkers that I commute with occasionally and I were taking on our way in to work and he said he noticed I had lost weight (only after I mentioned it), and we were talking about going to the gym and such. I haven't told anyone about my surgery except my husband, I just told my boss I was having a procedure and would be out for two weeks, he didn't ask what kind, just is it serious? and I said no that's why I can give you a months notice. Anyway my jackass coworker starts telling me that some people decide to have surgery and that its a easy way out and why would someone want to cut up their body when they can diet and exercise. At this moment I wanted to smack him in the head and push him out the truck door! What they say about some people and their opinions is true apparently, how stupid of a remark, I just stopped the conversation at that point. By the way he is a 290 pound FAT guy and I know that's mean but so was what he said. Sorry it just pissed me off!! This in no way has been an easy journey for me, its very hard work.
  20. Mine is on the 16th and tomorrow I will start my two week pre op, I hope it goes by fast. Good luck and hugs to all of us!
  21. Why do they require a chest x-ray? I understand having an EKG but a chest x-ray?
  22. My surgery date is May 16th also, lets do this! Woo Hoo
  23. OMG here we go: PEN/PEN HealthFast ( a liquid diet, 3 shakes a day nothing else) I did this for 7 months and lost 60 pounds and most of my hair and gained it all back, ok my hair took awhile. I went to a clinic where they wrap you in saran wrap and you sweat then they compare your measurements before and after and they tell you that you lost inches....I thought so LOL HCG Shots - yep took these damn shots everyday for months along with a 500 calorie diet, yes I lost weight but guess what, yep gained it all back. Oh yay my mom bought me those Ayds chewable's to..... What have I done to myself????
