  4. The day I got home from the hospital I started with the popsicles! Remember they are liquids so it counts towards your liquid goal. They were a Godsend! Also, I was off pain meds on day 4. Last time I took them was on night #5 to help me sleep.

  6. My surgeon told me I could drive in 3-4 days as long as they were short drives. 3 miles to work! I had my sleeve on a Monday (12/18) and went to work 1/2 day on Friday. Another few days off for Christmas and now I am back to work full time. I have a desk job that includes getting up off my chair every 5 minutes! I take the long way wherever I walk!
  7. Walk Walk Walk... I know that will make you feel so much better! I didn't want to that is for sure. But as soon as I got up and kept moving, I started feeling soooooo much better!
  8. I am still on thick liquids - creamed soups, yogurt, broth, etc. Mid-week next week starts soft foods. I'm a little bored with my choices at this point!

  10. I was starving at 5 days too! I started with Greek yogurt and that helped a lot - protein and it filled me up!
  11. I had my surgery on a Monday (12/18) and went to work on Friday (12/22), but I didn't stay all day! In at 9:00 and left for home at 2:30!

  15. Thank you, everyone for the information. I am 8 days post-op and can feel a heavy pressure, in one little spot that comes and goes, but feels like I did too many sit-ups! It seems like it is the scar tissue and healing that everyone is mentioning. I will continue to move forward!

  17. Surgery 12/18. 8 days out. The gas was scary... I had a "loose problem" for a few days! Now it's normal but small since I am not really eating much. I went to stage II on Saturday since I was starving! That helped a lot. I have found that eating while standing up is much easier on my system. I have a 'pressure' in my stomach today. I fear I overdid today... Does anyone feel "healing" going on inside them?
  18. I had my sleeve surgery on Dec 18th. It's 7 days today and I'm feeling so much better every day! I'm down 26 pounds total, 14 in the first week! I have taken it pretty easy this week. Moved to Phase 2 when I got so hungry! I'm on thick liquids now and never thought I would enjoy them so much!
  19. I'm 5 days post-op and had to attend my company luncheon today, at my favorite restaurant! Pasta for a crowd, wine flowing and, THE BREAD! I sat there with my glass of water... drooling. I think it was a good thing tho... I realized that I could skip it all and still survive! I think it is important to be able to be social with family and friends even if they are eating and I am not!
  20. I am 5 days post-op and although I am sore and gurgly, I am also hungry! I have been doing the liquid diet (water, bone broth, jello, popsicles) but I am so anxious to get to stage 2 to get some thicker, more satisfying protein in me! Down 5 pounds in 5 days! But I'm fairly sure if I hadn't had the surgery and only did liquids I would have lost 5 pounds anyway. When do the gurgles go away?
