  1. Only when I ate my lunch today.. but have been fine since. And my last episode of vomiting was Monday night. And gallstones don’t always show up on ultrasound.. and believe it, cause he did and so didn’t my physician. Funny, when I take tums I feel like 90% better.. so could just be my reflux too.. who knows.. guess I will play it day by day
  2. He nor my physician seemed to be too concerned with anything since my blood work came back fine. I saw and spoke with both of them about it today and neither expressed it as a medical emergency or suicide. I only get pain after I eat certain foods so I will just go back to doing a liquid diet for a few days to calm my body down, may not even be my gallbladder at all either.
  3. If you read what I posted, I DID go see my surgeon today and he did nothing for me! And my labs came back perfectly fine.. so looking for alternatives.
  4. Ok so I went and saw my surgeon today and told him I’ve been having severe pain after I eat under my ribs and makes me so sick I have to vomit to feel better and he said I could have gallstones but never gave me any orders to get a HIDAscan done or anything.. I asked my dad and he said my grandmother used to do an Apple juice cleanse followed by Epsom salt to dissolve/pass the gallstones.. has anyone ever tried this? Really don’t want to have to go thru another surgery so soon :-/ my hair just finally stopped falling out and the gas pains from surgery sucks so bad. Help!
  5. I went back to work 3 days after and I’m a correctional officer. No office job here.
  6. FOR all of you following this thread.. I am the OP. I had a hearing today about this abusive ex boyfriend today and he had to be present telephonically because he is currently in jail for his actions. The judge recommended him 1+ year of protection (no contact with me, etc.) and he admitted to all the charges, however, when asked if he had firearms he asked for an attorney and now our hearing will be continued on July 2. I have the order in effect right now and he’s currently in jail pending 4 felony charges (not related to our incident) but he went on an alcohol bender after he hit me and got himself in some serious trouble with law enforcement. Please continue to keep me in your prayers. I have met with a counselor and things are starting to work out.
  7. I am the OP... turns out he has violent tendencies.. his behavior lately has been very erratic and about a week ago he was drinking a lot.. we got into a verbal argument because he said I didn’t care about him or love him and he hit me once in the face and another time in the arm. Charges have been filed and I have a protection order in tact. It has taken a lot for me to realize that I deserve much better and someone that will support me and encourage me to follow my goals and dreams. I will not let him control my life. Everyday is a new beginning for me.. I just ran my first 5k and finished it and couldn’t be happier.. my weight loss has slowed but any loss is a loss. I will do this for me!
  8. I can’t tolerate chicken of any kind... not anything chicken flavored either.. might have been dumping but I didn’t eat but maybe 1 oz of chicken and I chewed it up very well, hoping I would be able to tolerate it for once. Chicken and eggs are the only things I can’t tolerate after surgery. :-/ I am going to be seeing my dr fri for my 6 month post-op appt so I will bring it up to him then.. just sucks cause I loved chicken before.. but last night I felt like my heart was going to explode
  9. (I’m 6 months post-op)... So tonight I went out with my boyfriend for dinner, I got a grilled chicken salad.. lettuce has always sat fine with me since I’ve been able to eat it, but chicken has been a whole other story. I was fine for about 15 minutes after I ate some of my salad.. put it in a to-go box and we were on our way home.. I started gasping to catch my breath and got really hot and sweaty. My bf had to pullover so I could get out of the car. I couldn’t puke, just felt like I was trying to catch my breath. I got really weak and dizzy. Finally, I was able to puke (which wasn’t a whole lot) and the pains became even worse. It was so intense, I could have prob had a heart attack and it feel better than I did tonight... he had to blast the air conditioner in the car and laid me on the back seat on my left side.. my mouth was so dry so I sipped some water and sat up and got dizzy again. My bf got in my bag and got out some tums and made me take them and I puked again.. after that I had to curl up in a ball along the road while it was pouring the rain just so I wasn’t in pain. I don’t know if my body is just rejecting chicken completely or has anyone else experienced this pain and feeling I did tonight that may know what was wrong with me? It’s been about 5 hours now and I feel a little better, but I never want to eat chicken again in my whole life. Food poisoning maybe?? Or too soon?? Thought I was dying.. :(
  10. I'm 6 months post-op and chicken still kills my stomach.. no matter how it is prepared. It could be chicken flavored and it would make me sick I’m sad about it because I loved chicken before surgery. Just take it slow. My doctor tells me to wait a few weeks and try again on foods that don’t settle well.. but time and time again, the chicken doesn’t settle
  11. I’m 6 months post-op and the struggle is real. I ate like crap over the weekend, no where near as much I would have if I had never been sleeved, but my choices in food were poor. I am paying for it now so bad. I am also considering doing a pouch reset just to get back on track after this weekend. I’m miserable and lethargic now. Getting back on track tomorrow! I have to do this for me and you can too!
  12. I have been hitting the gym and sadly, all my fat is still here.. I’ve only been losing like 1 lb a week lately. This whole thing is frustrating me just glad to know I’m not alone.. I have considered even getting liposuction done on my stomach because it makes me look like I’m 40 weeks pregnant with twins. ugh the struggle
  13. I’m about 80 lbs from goal. It’s def not skin.. there’s fat still lingering there.. it won’t go away. I’ve lost my boobs, neck and face... my arms are still bigger but have gone down.. just my belly and thighs haven’t had much of a change since I started. I go for my 6 month check up on June 15 with my surgeon, so I will also ask him what I can do.. I am just beyond frustrated.
  14. Seems like you have a bit of an attitude. You can look at them however you want.. I went thru my 3rd month post-op and thought I was one of the lucky ones that beat it, but I was wrong. My hair dresser has been doing my hair for 25 years and I have always had very very thick, long and healthy hair.. now I have thinned and dull looking hair. No matter how many grams of protein, bitoin and vitamins and water you are taking in a day, is not going to stop it if it’s going to happen. I have been taking biotin for years and 3 months before surgery I was taking in 70-100 grams of protein. I still never get less than 70 a day and my hair is falling out. Like I said, it’s part of the process. No need to have an attitude with people that are telling you what to expect.
  15. My hair loss didn’t start until 4 months post-op. If you’re one of the very lucky few that doesn’t happen to, then I envy you. I will be 6 months post-op Monday and my hair is still falling out. I take biotin and protein and vitamins everyday.. it’s just part of the process
  16. So I will be 6 months post-op on Monday and am beginning to become very frustrated with the size of my belly and legs.. they will not shrink! I have only lost 6” off my stomach and 1” off my thighs. I see everyone else losing weight all over and my belly and legs look like I still weigh 324 lbs! :( what can I do to help this?! I already do cardio daily and strength based training every other day. Just wish they would go away. Please give me all and any advice you may have to help!
  17. I craved pickles so bad after I was sleeved. You can have it, just high in sodium so do so in moderation. It helped with my reflux. I still eat pickles almost every day and I’m 6 months post-op
  18. Everyone’s experience with hair loss is different.. my surgeon told me the same thing about getting my protein and I never take in less than 100g a day and my hair has been falling out for the last 2 months now. I have been taking biotin everyday as well.. nothing can prevent it from happening.. it’s part of the process... at first I cried every single day, at this point I have learned to accept it.
  19. I wish I would have done it sooner than waiting until I was 30.. missed out on so much of my young adult life being overweight and unhappy. Don’t let anyone try to talk you in or out of something that is YOUR decision! It is YOUR life, not theirs! Getting the sleeve was the best decision I could have made for my life.. if I wouldn’t have been so naive when I was young 20s, I would have done it then!
  20. Just my opinion, but your calorie intake is extremely low. You should be consuming 1,000-1,200 calories a day. I was like you too, stuck in a plateau for 5 weeks... my nutritionist had me send my food logs and he told me I was not getting near enough calories that my body thought it was starving. So I upped my calories and the weight loss has started again.
  21. Thank you all for your kind words.. makes waking up to start my day after a sleepless night seem a little better. I need to work on myself and not let people try to bring me down. I have waited so long for this day to be here and I don’t want anyone to take this time in my life away from me.
  22. I know... easier said than done... I’m emotionally invested and it sucks... my last boyfriend said I was repulsive so comments like those make me wonder if there is something wrong with me.. :-/ I just hope there’s someone better out there for me...
  23. Lol.. I just need to leave everything to God. But thank you all.. I love every single one of you!
  24. Thank you. If I could move to the beach and find a cowboy there, I would be set! Lol
  25. Thank you all for reaching out... I just hope one day someone will treat me as good as I do them..
