Thank you for putting this into perspective for me. I'm having bypass this Friday and I'm freaking out. My fears are piling up and I'm getting more and more nervous. I want to eat whatever I want but I can't right now with being on the optifast diet. I don't have any health complications right now but I know it will be a matter of time. I know this will be a mental game and coming to that reality is scaring me. I'm really hoping this goes well.
I started my opti fast yesterday and I'm not in a good place today. I'm having crippling pain in the Centre of my chest below my breasts. I don't know if this is a GERD attack but it's so painful. I do not want to eat or drink. I'm literally crying from pain and hopelessness. I have to do this for 2 weeks and I can't get through today. ANY ADVICE?!?!
I'm wondering the same thing. I'm having my surgery on Dec 22 and I'm 31, 5'6" 266. I'm hoping for a good outcome but honestly I'm just happy that I'll be thinner and healthier. I want to try working out so the effects will be less but I've been told it's mostly up to genetics. Good luck! Sent from my SM-N920W8 using BariatricPal mobile app
So my surgery date is December 22nd and even though I'm extremely excited I'm also quite nervous for the unknown. Hubby and I have vacation planned for end of January (week 6) post op. I'm concerned about doing this but I absolutely need the vacation. Any advice?! Sent from my SM-N920W8 using BariatricPal mobile app
