  1. I’m in the same boat. I had RNY 3/16/18 and I’m only down 35lbs. I’m not sure what’s going on. Surgery Weight- 235 Current-200
  2. Thank you so much for the advice. Definitely gonna have to take wine away for a good lil minute
  3. I snack a little and started back drinking wine. Maybe that’s what’s wrong but I eat the things the doctor told me, work out a lot, take my vitamins, and get my b12 shot
  4. How did u lose soooooo much in this time?? My surgery was March 16 and I was 235lbs. Today I am 204lbs. I work out 3 times a week. Not sure why it’s going so slow
  5. I was told that also. However I’m 3 almost 4 months post op and haven’t had a hiccup. Not saying that it’s not possible but I use condoms and birth control. I’m about to just be celibate but that’s a whole bother conversation lol. If you are going to have sex just protect yourself all around.
  6. I’m on birth control and I haven’t had an issue. I had sex a month after surgery and it was AWESOME!!!! Seriously the weight loss actually increased my sex drive (not that it wasn’t already high). I can do more than before. I did have a hiccup and didn’t use protection. But I did not get pregnant so I believe the pill is the same as it was before.
  7. I’m in the same boat as you Matt. I’ve been at a standstill for about 2 weeks. I know my problem is not having enough water. In the beginning I wasn’t feeling full and now I am so I can tell the difference. It’s been 3 months and I’m down 30lbs so it’s still a good amount
  8. U will get tired of throwing up. Trust the process. That’s my opinion
  9. Trust me it will work for u. I had my surgery March 16th and when I was finally cleared to eat solid food everything I ate came back up because I was trying to eat too much. U will get used to it. U will know that you’re full.
  10. Thanks Matt!!! I really needed to hear that. My water intake is def a problem so I know I need to work on that
  11. I been trying to figure out the same thing. I had gastric bypass March 16th and my surgery weight was 235 and I have been 208 for the past week. Am I doing something wrong?
  12. I was told that would happen. I want a drink so bad but was a little scared to try it lol. Thanks for responding.
  13. Sooooooooooooooooo when did you have your first drink after surgery?
  14. I am having the exact same issues. Nothing will stay down and I am sick of mashed potatoes.
  15. I tried scrambled eggs and it didn’t sit well at all
  16. I tried Salmon last night and it came back up. I have tuna but now I’m scared to try it. Do you think chili with no beans will work?
  17. I can do soft foods and slowly introduce some solids. really whatever my stomach can tolerate. I hate oatmeal but I've had grits and they are fine. I just want something and some meat. I feel as if I'm not really getting full or eating enough.
  18. I’m 3 weeks out and really want to try some other foods. Any suggestions
  19. I’m 3 weeks out and really want to try some other foods. Any suggestions
  20. Hi. I’m doing great!! Thanks for checking. It’s still taking a min to get used to all the changes and family eating Easter dinner in front of me right now.
  21. Hi, I actually had the option to do either the sleeve or bypass. I chose bypass because it’s the #1 go to and I knew I wanted to loose as much as possible. My grandma actually had the sleeve done last year and she’s 59. She looks great and said it was the best decision she made. It really depends on the size you are shooting for and the work you plan to put in later. That’s my opinion.
  22. I’m struggling trying to drink enough water. I’m also starting to get worn out on these soft foods. Any idea of other soft foods I can have besides yogurt and mashed potatoes? What do you guys eat during the soft food/purée stage?
