  3. Yup, I know Kelli! She started derby the same time I did. I live outside of Brighton near the skating rink. Giving up pop was hard, but now that I am a year and a half out from surgery I allow myself a soda every now and then! Good luck with your consult today! I don't think it's rude at all to call ahead and see if they are running on time... I would do it!
  4. Wow. That really suprises me! Most docs (from what I have heard) will only band someone who's BMI is AT LEAST 35 with comorbidities or 40 without. That is my doc's policy as far as I know! Is this doctor your only option?
  5. Welcome Brandy! I live in Brighton too!! :clap2:
  6. Only thing consistant is that I can't eat first thing in the morning. Other than that it's totally random.. some foods are okay one day and not the next... total crap shoot! :tired
  7. Yes, the repair required surgery. I chose to be put totally asleep like with the initial surgery but I know a girl who just had her tubing and port replaced that did it with a local. The surgery for me was much easier than the banding. My doc went in through the same port incision and there was no gas involved. I took a couple of days off to recover (mostly from the anesthesia) and was back in action within a few days!
  8. Hi all! Chiming in on the Red Robin date for next month. Oct 10the or 11th won't work for me. Wednesdays and Thursdays I have practice and can't miss it. Maybe I can catch up with you girls in November! I'm looking forward to have 3 months off from derby here soon!
  9. I had to have my port replaced last year due to a leak in the tubing (was punctured during a fill) and I'm wondering how common this problem is. Please answer the poll and discuss!
  10. My belly was swollen pretty consistantly for about 2-3 weeks then would swell at the end of the day for another month or so. Drink lots of water and do lots of walking... it helps!
  11. Red Robin Americas Gourmet Burgers & Spirits 8585 E Arapahoe Rd Greenwood Village, CO 80112 Is this the right Red Robin??
  12. Hold the cheese? Are you crazy? The cheese is one of my favorite parts of the french onion soup experience! Can't wait to see you crazy chicks tonight! :whoo:
  13. I will be there tomorrow at Red Robin!! I am very much looking forward to it! Anyone know if they have french onion soup?
  14. I WILL be there on Tuesday! I am getting ready to head up to Breckenridge for the weekend for our annual retreat for my derby league. Should be fun... and intense. You get 20 strong willed, passionate women together and the sparks will fly. Thank god for booze. :bounce:
  15. I have lost 80ish pounds since I was banded May 06. I need to lose another 35 or so.
  16. Mal! The bout went well.... we won... by a lot!
  17. I am here!! Sorry... been up to my ears in roller derby stuff this month. We have a big bout on Friday and I am "head bitch" as they call me to make sure it all runs smoothly. Yes! I WILL be there on Sept 11... I have it on my calendar and everything. Thanks for changing it for me!

  21. Hey Kirshenbaum peeps! Just wanted to check in with since I have been MIA lately. I have been super busy with derby and it has gotten even busier since I am not back skating! The knee is doing great... my endurance sucks, but I guess that will come, right? Aug 9th won't work for me. I practice on Thursday nights. Tuesdays generally work better, just not the 1st Tuesday of the month. Have a drink for me though! Anyone coming to the bout on the 24th? PM me if you want more info!
  22. I found you guys!! I am doing great. Stuck between 205-209 but I look a helluva lot smaller, so I'm told. Here's a new pic:
  23. Nope. He didn't charge me for the replacement.
