My date is July 15th. It seems so far away!

I was disappointed that the 1st appt w/ the cardio is a consultation only & then he would order tests if necessary. It is frustrating to not be able to do it all at once!

My cardio & pulmonologist pre-cert appts are coming up. What are these appts like?

I really enjoyed my psych eval. She went over my medical & social history . She talked to me about having a long term plan in place after the "honeymoon" period of the lap band is over. We also talked about keeping your mind & body on the same page after surgery. She told me about the problems some people have w/ alcohol, gambling, etc afterwards and asked me to promise to come back if those things became an issue. I was supposed to take a test ($180), but she decided against it saying I didn't need to. I found the experience very enlightening, interesting, and I learned a few things, too.

Hey Everyone- My husband is pretty supportive, but wonders how his life will change once the surgery is over. Do you all still feel like cooking even though you can't or won't enjoy everything? Has going out for dinner? Have any of your roles changed with your spouse since sugery? I can't wait to hear from you!

My ins. co. does the physician monitored weight loss. My problem being if I lose any weight I won't be morbidly obese & I won't fit in the insurance guidelines for surgery. I would then have to be self pay. So, I'm kind of scared about spending the money. Can you please advise?

Unified Group Services? The insurance card also has an HFN 10 logo on it. I am waiting to hear back from them, but also looking for someone else who has used them.

I have just been to the seminar w/ my first Dr appt tomorrow. What do you think I should expect from my appt? I also wondering if the insurance will cover me. Husband has Unified Group Services & it seems as if no one else has the same insurance.
