    Slow WL

Its so slow it makes me want to cry at times! i started at 297 and was 284 pre-op and I'm now 252 and tomorrow is 4 months!! Getting frustrated!
  2. Congrats to all the success! How is everyone only eating only between 6 and 900 calories I'm way over that I feel restriction NOT EATING JUNK but portions feel like they are growing and I feel like 1300 calories is a ton
  3. For the most part that's pretty low still I can do about 1300 sometimes more sometimes less but not unhealthy my portion sizes are still smaller but more than in the beginning . It's frustrating

    Am I eating too much?

Ok ok I t0 am pretty tall at 5"10 258 I hear this different crap 3 meals don't snack or eat healthy snacks or 6 small meals a day ok I just hope something falls into place for me it's aggravating and frustrating . I'm trying to build my endurance after being sedentary fir so long. I'm up to 40 minutes treadmill 2.25 miles 10 flights of stairs and misc muscle buliding excercises at least 6!sets of 10 three different things . So I'm really truly trying
  5. Ok ok that's great ! I'm sept 21st so little over 10 weeks idk it's a lot slower than I thought. Where are u with calories? How much are u taking in per day?
  6. Thanks nessy and yes it is easy to get discouraged and do hard not to compare yourself to others that have lost more in the same amount of time! Thanks fir the encouragement doing my best not eating the bad things and trying to stay positive isn't easy when u go backwards
  7. I'm struggling and feeling stressed about weight loss . My weight has been going backwards the last week by three pounds! I was up to 43 lbs in 10 weeks now it's up three lbs I find myself being able to eat more but still way less than before the sugery , it is that time of the month any day now so idk if that's why I'm up but I am stressing . I go see Dr assistant Friday so I feel like I've let myself down and my doctor idk just venting here!!going to gym 4 times a week about 1 hour each time not eating bread , pasta or rice and pushing my protein and water no problem. So HELP PLEASE!

    Am I eating too much?

Ok, I'm so guilty of this myself but you have to remember that u are an individual and every one is different! You are fine ! I'm 10 weeks post op and can definitely eat more than right after surgery but your body has to progress to eat more we eventually have to teach our selves to be ok around food and stop when we are full. just push your protein first and fluids. you will have up days and down days but you cant hold your standards to this person or that person because it will seriously drive u crazy. Follow your program and start your walking or gym and things should progress normally
  9. I mean I have to weigh my food stay away from rice, bread and pasta cake the right choices which are hard cause the wrong ones don't fill your pouch and work out which makes me more upbeat so I don't mind that! I have head hunger always and my pouch can definitely accomadate more which worries me going into the holidays . But we all have to adjust in our own way and work the program follow the rules and hope for the best
  10. there are a lot of factors for a time frame for surgery. if you are self pay i would say no delay or not much of one but it really just depends on your insurance and their requirements from start to finish for me was 9 months you have to see nutritionist you have to demonstrate that u can lose weight u have to see a physoclogist etc
  11. Hi, had my surgery Sept 21 and i to am hungry quit a bit more than i think i should be. I managed to lose 40 lbs in two months but i see lots of others struggling just to eat normally where i feel i can eat with no problem. i started weighing my food so as not to over eat and definitely not eating junk but i have to weigh cause like i said i feel i can eat about over 6 ounces no problem. I started going to the gym three weeks ago and started machines this week for my core but i have accountability and have to lose 6 lbs by Dec 1st when i see my doc and it doesn't seem to just be 'coming off' like some people have described here! I know every ones body is different i just wonder if I'm doing something wrong. Any advice is appreciated
  12. Jess, How did u managed no stalls? Congrats on your weight loss by the way!! i go to the gym walk at different paces high and low i do 2 miles in thirty minutes. i started doing some leg and core machines and i stall constantly. i feel like i can eat a lot so yesterday i actually measured to stay on course i can eat 6 ounces now and today I'm 8 weeks post op. i get my protein and water requirements but i feel my expectations are to high i have already lost 40 lbs since my surgery but i have to lose another 6 lbs to be on course for my doctor by Dec 1st and I'm finding myself struggling. i really push myself at the gym more than i ever have but i see i still have cravings and i get hungry really hungry but i am really staying focused just getting a little bit down.

Congrats on your choice to have surgery and welcome! The gas passes different for all , i felt better in three days or so but then gas comes back around week three lol.
  17. thanks for the encouragement!
  18. i' m sure there are a lot of people here going thru the same things. I was wondering if anyone else at 7 weeks post op can pretty tolerate anything, i have ben staying on course and have lost 40 lbs give or take 2 lbs fluctuation but it seems slow in general maybe my expectations are to high for to much to fast. I go to the gym 4 times a week i walk two miles and have started working on some toning machines. i noticed my hunger is starting to come back and though i cant tolerate the amount of food i was eating i fear 5-6 ounces i can tolerate now at times sometimes 2-4 ounces will eventually grow. i stop myself and follow the program . i am getting my protein as i should as well as water requirements. i just don't want to have done this for nothing. I feel frustrated i am not losing more rapidly sometimes not at all. Anyone else had this problem? One thing i don't much care for are all the judgy people i have meant so far along tjis journey. its all a learning experiece.
