  1. I feel the same way! My legs are like little sticks, and it makes it hard to find pants. They say people loose the belly last!
  2. I've sent that and I want to get it for our monthly game night with friends. It looks like a lot of fun.
  3. I like this idea a lot! I do have some games that would work for a large crowd. I'll SPRING it on them after dinner. thanks MrsGramgee!
  4. I'm a perfectionist to say the least, but more so a nurturer. I love hosting because I thrive on making sure everyone is fed, comfortable, and happy. But good advice, I'll try and take it easy
  5. I love that idea! I think it will help see the weight loss progression, plus just fun!
  6. Has anyone noticed that their resting heart rate after surgery is a lot less? Also, it takes some serious cardio exercise for my heart rate to increase for optimal impact.
  7. I love your response! Great reminders of why I had surgery! I smile more too
  8. Hosting my family on Sunday for a pre-Easter get together. I'm making steak, per request. This will be the first time I've seen my brother since my surgery 9 weeks ago, and the first time I've eaten in front of most of my family. At least I am hosting, so I can run around cleaning and cooking and not look unsettled. This is also my first time cooking for a large group since surgery. I went to go buy steaks and I stood there in amazement at the size of them (Ribeyes & New York Strip specifically) . I used to eat one of those, a whole one! I'm looking forward to having normal traditions and getting over the fear that I don't fit into holidays when food is involved.
  9. Seriously! I've been waiting very patiently for today. I've got a bazillion things to pack into this weekend, so I'm ready for 5pm. Thanks for sharing your pic
  10. I mean this with zero disrespect, but I love the suspense and the "episodes". Can't wait for the next one.
  11. I just read through some of the threads and I'm so glad you posted this link. I felt like an Alien , but turns out I'm not! Thanks
  12. I made these tasty jello cups that are supposed to be 12 grams of protein per 2oz. They were great during my liquid week post op.
  13. You are looking fabulous! Such an inspiration
  14. I also have a problem at night. I get more hungry between 6-8pm. We don't usually eat dinner until 7pmish. So I can control it with dinner. But if we eat an early dinner, I find myself chopping at the bit. I have gained a lot of self control, minus my glass of FairLife Milk and Sugar Free Chocolate Syrup. Every night at 8pm I have exactly a cup. It settles my cravings.
  15. You go girl! you look WONDERFUL! I love your glasses! I have to use Instagram filters for glasses. There is nothing sexier than a woman with glasses.
  16. I had this problem too! Its a side affect of Ketosis. If you read about it, you'll realize it is the process, not you. It goes away after awhile.
  17. I'll keep that in mind. I don't drink them much anymore but I keep some in the fridge for on the go situations
  18. It's the after taste for me! Anything with "added" protein has this horrible *smack* taste. SMH.
  19. Now that's a good attitude. You will be back to "normal" before you know it. I know I struggled with social interactions involving food but I'm slowly accepting my self and realizing that its about the time with friends.
  20. 3 day stretch! You've got this! Protein shakes never get better, I don't drink them at all right now. It will make you motivated to get all your protein by food instead.
  21. Good to know! I've wondered if it works. I'm going to get some this weekend
  22. @Jenn1 & @Fluffychix - I was responding on the app last night and some how my response got mixed in with a requote. Thanks again ladies! Glad I have you guys!
  23. I agree @Mattymatt, she is very right! You deserve all the best. Xo
