Anyone in Issaquah, WA?
Hi there! I live in Bremerton. I’d love to start a support group in this area. I’m going to call my team at a Kaiser and see if they have recommendations?

- First real foods
I just had my first real food. I’m 20 days post op. I made a soft boiled egg. I’ve been able to drink my protein drinks and eat yogurt, popsicles, and cottage cheese with no problem. After two very small bites, I felt like I ate a dozen eggs. So strange!- 100 lbs lost!
You really do look amazing. Can I ask you if you have a lot of extra skin? If yes, how do you deal with it?- Stop losing weight
Seems like you need to up your protein intake to 60g per day. Did you get solid nutritional counseling before you had the surgery? There is some great information out there. I am still learning so much! Stay tuned to these boards, and it will help your journey a lot [emoji173]️- Surgery day!!
I will be praying for you, for sure! Hang in there and know you are making the best decision you can for yourself. What are your stats? Have you been waiting for a long time? What state do you live in? My surgery date was 5 days ago, so I’m still in the healing process. I’m not used to any of this yet, but I feel so much better already. My HW 289, SW 248, CW 240, GW 145. My journey is in front of me, and I’m ready!! [emoji3]- Multicare Tacoma
I am definitely not a CHI fan, not one single bit. Both from an employee and a patient standpoint. Where do you live? I am in Kitsap County, and looking to find a support group. Do you know if there is one around? When is your surgery date? I had my surgery on Wed, Nov 15. So far, so good. It’s a little bit odd getting used to my new way of life, and I am still healing, but I believe I have made the most important and wonderful decision I could’ve ever made for myself. Onward we go!- November surgery
Hi Davida, I had my surgery on Nov 15 and just got home from hospital last night. I spiked a fever this morning, but I’m doing much better now. My next few days will be filled with learning how to eat (or should I say drink), and figure out all these new processes. I would love to find a pal here, someone I can encourage and be encouraged by and grow with (or should I saw shrink with)!!!- November surgery
- My big day was 10/26/17
Thanks so much for sharing your story!! It was so encouraging to me. I’m in the hospital and just told I need to stay one more night. The procedure hurt so much more than I thought it would, but after only a few days I am feeling so much better. I would love to stay in touch? What state are you in? Cathy- Dr. Visit
I had my surgery on 11/15. Im still in the hospital and everything hurts!! I know it will away and I’m so hopeful fo the future. You blog inspired me! Keep it up! So awesome! Cathy- SURGERY DAY!!
The surgery is at 8:30, that would be 15 minutes away. Thank you all for your prayers and I will get back onto the post on the other side, with pouch attached.- Not finished yet.
My surgery is on Wednesday and I am so enjoying this site. It is awesome to see the success stories and not read about the problems. I’ve been reading about problems, and my brain is going 1,000,000 miles a minute. Thank you for sharing everyone!- Vitamins
We were told by the dietician (Kaiser) absolutely no patch vitamins. I’m not sure why? It would be so convenient!
