  1. So I am scheduled to undergo RNY Gastric Bypass tomorrow and am on the 2 day pre-op clear liquid diet. In the guideline that my patient coordinator sent me it stated that I could have chicken broth, went to Hale and Hearty for lunch and they did not have chicken noodle Soup (I was going to just drink the broth) so instead I bought the lobster bisque Now I'm terrified even though the bisque was very creamy without anything in it at all. Anyone on here know if I'm screwed or if the bisque was okay to eat?
  2. I was wondering the same thing lol. Hopefully we can get an answer
  3. Hello. My name is Erica and I am fairly new to BP. I’ve completed all my requirements and am scheduled for RNY on December 14th. Have been on the pre-op liquid diet since last week Sunday [emoji30] but I’m getting used to the shakes and jello by now.
  4. Good luck on Monday.
  5. UPDATE: So I called my insurance company, UHC Oxford, and they gave me the great news...... I've been approved!!!! So I can keep my scheduled surgery date (12/14). Now it feels real.

  8. I wish they would have waited for the approval before giving me a date. [emoji30][emoji30] I’m just praying insurance gets back to us before the 14th so that I don’t have to reschedule.

  15. I had to be transferred over from Mount Sinai to Mount Sinai St. Luke because my insurance only allows the procedure to be done at a "Center for Excellence", whatever that means. But I'm on day two of my pre-op diet and my surgery is scheduled for December 14th.
  16. Thanks for sharing. I'm in NY too. Where did you have your procedure done?
