  1. Don't even start me on the rice! [emoji12] Sent from my Nexus 5 using BariatricPal mobile app
  2. I have to agree with you about sugar. That is such a slippery slope for me. My body reacts badly. Whether it's sugar from a dessert or that fresh [emoji506]. Once it hits my lips I cannot eat just a little, it's all or nothing. And the cravings for more afterwards is awful. Sent from my Nexus 5 using BariatricPal mobile app

  5. I think one of the things you need to do is be organized. You have to have ready meals, and snacks. You cannot say you will never have desserts ever again. That is not realistic. But you can have ready low carb ,no sugar desserts . Lots of varieties out there. I even bought protein chips for those times I really want to have a crunchy snack.I always have ready protein in the fridge. I am actually going to start freezing little meals I can grab and just pop in the microwave. But you have to be organized and proactive. You can do this. I know it's a fear we all have: gaining all our weight back. Let that fear push you to make the right choices . Sent from my Nexus 5 using BariatricPal mobile app
  6. I really struggled too with water. Had to get up early in the morning to start my drinking..still 4 months out I struggle. And on days where I fall short on drinking I do not lose weight. You need to drink lots of water to lose weight. My go to is Camomile tea. I drink more if the water is hot instead if cold. Good luck on your journey. 7. You will get there, no worries. Diabetes is the worst! I was pre diabetic prior to my surgery. So glad I got this surgery. Almost everyone in my family has diabetes. It's an awful disease. Sent from my Nexus 5 using BariatricPal mobile app
  8. Feel your pain. I am 4 months out and stalls happen often. Remember it's not a race. Everyone loses at differently. This is for the rest of your life. Just make your choices wisely. Rule of thumb, eat protein first, then vegetables/ salad and if there is still room a healthy carb. Going STRICT low carb is not good either. Believe me I did low carb under 20 carbs for 2 years. Difficult to sustain, because life happens. I ended up gaining back a 100 pounds and more! I don't eat white potatoes, white bread or pastas, but I do now eat low carb bread, nuts, and low carb fruit and nuts. Just don't do strict low carb , because when you deviate even just a little, your body gains very quickly. Wishing you well on this weight loss journey [emoji4] Sent from my Nexus 5 using BariatricPal mobile app

  13. From what I remember from Nutritional Class, a way to stretch your pouch is drinking and eating at the same time. Must eat and wait 35 minutes to drink. After drinking must wait 35 mins to eat. My stats are SW:Nov.1 2017 SW: 299 CW: 236.5 GW: 250 Currently on my second week of stall. Ugggh[emoji55] Sent from my Nexus 5 using BariatricPal mobile app
  14. I am almost 4 months out and I take biotin every morning. I have really thick hair and don't mind it thinning, but the problem is that the thinning is all up front! I only wash my hair once a week because I have dry hair. I do not blow dry it anymore. And i put oils in it. I was told that we only lose one hair cycle growth...not sure how long before the next. I feel your pain. Hopefully it will be ok by summer [emoji55] Sent from my Nexus 5 using BariatricPal mobile app

  17. You are so courageous to have the back surgery! I have lots of back issues, and probably need surgery. I found getting in the pool or the hot tub therapy pool is very helpful. See if your surgeon will clear you for that. I find moving in the pool is helpful. Also congratulations on losing so much weight! If you are finding you are gaining again because your emotional eating, try to stick to protein. I get really bad head hunger and I do not grab carbs or sweats,I try to grab high protein foods. If I want to have something sweat I keep it low carb . I wish you much success on this weight loss journey. Sending you healing thoughts. Sent from my Nexus 5 using BariatricPal mobile app
