Yeah, day one was a mess for me too. Haha, but after day one I kind of pep talked myself into why it was important for me to do this and now I've been doing so much better. Hello!! I'm scheduled for Monday the 11th. I'm on day 3 of my liquid only diet. Its been a struggle but I've basically been living off broth and shakes. Plus side is that I'm down 5lbs in 3 days! Hello! So I'm on day 1 of my liquid preop diet. It's been rough but I'm getting through it.. My question was for any suggestions on non sweet protein ideas. I'm not allowed to have any solids and only 1 yogurt every other day. Broths are approved and that's mainly what I've been drinking but it lacks in protein. I hate the artificial sweetner taste of protein shakes including premier. I ordered some protein soups and unflavored protein powder from bariatric pal but it won't be here for 2 days. Any suggestions or tips are welcone!!

That's good, I'm dreading not being able to drive! I would love to either meet or do a group chat. If you all are interested, feel free to message me your names and phone number and I can add everyone into a group text and that way we can coordinate a meet up or at least have people to text for questions and support! It looks like most of us used the same surgeon group with bon secour! I think that will definitely help with having the same kind of requirements and dietary rules! I wanted to see if anyone had the surgery while in school? Or right beforehand? I begin nursing school January 8th, and surgery is scheduled for December 11th. I guess my question is how was recovery truly and has anyone had complications where their recovery time was extended? My surgeon requires 2 weeks off like most, but my family is just concerned about if something goes wrong will I have time to make it into classes.
