I had my surgery at Virtua Marlton so they have their own support groups for their bariatric patients. They also provide a Facebook secret group monitored by an Bariatric RN and one of the bariatric Surgeons. I believe its the 1st tuesday of the month and last thursday of the month. I was sleeved 11/13, discharged 11/14 and i couldn't keep anything down, broth, water, protein or medication. Im on day 4, gas has subsided with chewable gas x. Sip the water, never gulp and if you have access to a chik fi la or Sonics, get a bag of ice chips! It will help with water intake and for dry mouth also biotene. Can anyone with Amerihealth ins. tell me how long it took for approval and if there was a lot of hoops and/or appeals? i finished all my pre op appts on sept 25th and have been waiting.
