  5. I’m struggling at the minute I just don’t feel hungry but know if I don’t eat I won’t lose weight but don’t want to eat for the sake of it! [emoji31]
  6. Just did my first weigh in 2 weeks post op I’ve lost a stone [emoji3][emoji3] 36kg to go! I’ve already got restriction and no fill yet first fill on 23rd October so really need to start practicing with foods dietician said it’s a must otherwise you won’t be able to eat properly after the fill. I’m hoping to knock off at least another stone before Xmas !

  8. Hi wow that’s a great achievement. I don’t feel hungry at all and on day 7 now I feel like there’s already a restriction even though there’s nothing in my band yet. I have my telephone dietician app next Friday so I’m hoping she will give me the clear to go onto soft foods and have my first band fill on 23rd October. Where did you go for yours?
  9. Hi sorry I don't have much advice as I'm only 3 days post op! I'm struggling with the fluids in the sense that I don't really want to put anything in so I'm forcing myself to drink as much as I can and I'm trying to have 1 soup per day I also haven't touched any of my protein shakes either but think I will have to I have no energy at all! I can't wait to start to soft food weeks although that is if my appetite is back as at the minute I don't feel hungry in the slightest. The pain in my left abdomen is still really bad and I'm finding it difficult to move around or stand up straight [emoji25] please tell me this will ease off in the next few days? X
  10. Started at 101kg 5'7" target is 64kg so I have a long way to go. My consultant said it is very achievable though as long as I put the work in which I am more than willing to do so . Still don't feel at all hungry and having to force these liquids in, hoping to have lost quite a bit just after doing this liquid diet to give me a good starting point x

  14. I know what you mean my partner was dead against it but at the end of the day he accepted it as it is MY decision and no one else's. I have just had it done 2 days ago and have only told a few people my aunty took me to get it done as we were away a full weekend and she didn't want me to go alone even though she is not 100% comfortable she was still supportive. I haven't told my dad and don't have any intention I'm a 27 year old woman and don't need people judging my decision to change my life. We shouldn't feel ashamed as we are taking positive steps don't feel bad about telling your family or some of your family as support is really important. I didn't realise how much pain I'd be in but would have been lost if no one knew as I have had to ask people for help. I hope your surgery goes well and you get the support you need
  15. Hi everyone Just had my band fitted a couple of days ago (small 10ml with no fill yet) and I'm in agony all down the left side of my abdomen is this normal? I feel like I cannot stand up straight. At least on the bright side I don't feel hungry! This was me just after my band hoping to look much better by Xmas can't wait to update my progress I actually feel so motivated and ready to change! Thanks in advance to anyone who would like to offer support and share my journey [emoji3]
  16. I know I've just had my band fitted on Saturday 16-9-17 and I'm desperate for people who can support me, I'm still in agony down my left side gas seems to be shifting I just would like to know if it's normal to still be in pain as I don't think I expected it to be this painful. Thanks x
