Frothy/Foam vomit or spit up
A stint is a period of time. A stent is the thing they put in your tubes to keep them open ?

February 2019 weight loss buds
I saw my doctor today and it looks like I may have a stricture - apparently it's more common after a revision. I am so done with this - I can't afford to pay for any more surgeries for starters, my body is done with procedures and I don't want to put my husband through any more of this. I have three days to figure out whether I can or can not get dense protein down.

February 2019 weight loss buds
Ended up throwing up my food twice yesterday. All I could manage was 6 cripsbreads (80 cals for 4) and half a cup of oatmeal. Is this right at this stage of being 6 weeks out? I am feeling so drained.

February 2019 weight loss buds
I bought some cottage cheese, but for some reason I just don't fancy it. I have been having some soup, oatmeal and refried beans. Everything else just hurts to eat. I really don't feel like I'm getting enough calories - I feel like a walking corpse and have so little energy. You are probably right - my metabolism is slowing. I see my surgeon on Wednesday - I will talk to him and see what he says, but I really don't want to have any more procedures, like stretching my pouch.

I need to talk about constipation post op
Iron can also make you constipated.

February 2019 weight loss buds
I love these. You can also find them in the frozen section of Whole Foods. In other news, my weight loss has slowed again and I just don't get it. I am barely eating right now and what I do eat seems to come up. I can't seem to tolerate much beyond mushy food. I'm 6 weeks post op and should be able to eat solid, crunchy and spicy food. Is anyone else having this issue? I guess I should be thankful that I am not enjoying food right now... I guess this is part of my journey, but I seriously am finding eating so unenjoyable I can't even be bothered. And that is SO not like me.

left sided flank pain
Any other symptoms? Breathing difficulties? Temperature? edit: it could be as simple as trapped wind.

Solid food progression
@RickM - that was a really helpful and interesting video! Thank you.

❤MARCH 2019 CHALLENGE❤
Yes, doing all of that. I seriously think it was my hormones - I am back to losing again. I just had a mini freakout because last time I stalled at this weight, I went back up 29 lbs. All is good now though.

If you could close one fast food chain
'Face meat'? ? After reading that term, this 48 year long vegetarian would close them all down lol. Absolutely gross.

2 weeks until revision, and not feeling it....
For things I don't want to do, I find a good heaping of denial really helps. Just go through the motions, even if you don't want to do it or believe in it. (Obviously if you REALLY don't want to do it then that is a decision you can make)

❤MARCH 2019 CHALLENGE❤
Thank you for your encouragement and advice regarding my stupid weight plateau. I think it might have something to do with my hormones... I have had terrible pms this last week and my body seems to hold on to so much water. I hope that's why anyway. I will keep doing what I know I need to do and hopefully see some positive results soon. I just really really want to push through the 280s barrier I have. I stopped exactly here last time when I had the sleeve done and it's the lowest I ever got to, so this is a bit of a scary place to be.

❤MARCH 2019 CHALLENGE❤
Sorry I've been absent from this thread. I am struggling so badly... For a while I had been losing a pound a day - down 21 lbs. Now I'm stuck. My appetite has returned and all of the mind games about food have come back into my head. I'm really feeling like a bit of a mess to be honest I didn't think I'd face issues only 5 weeks post surgery!

Ache from over eating?
Was it just egg whites? Some people have difficulty digesting the yolks because of the fat.

Food Before and After Photos
Thank you so much - I will look at those. I also just realised I could probably use lite coolwhip! I am basically going to make one cupcake... it's to deter me from ordering anything from the restaurant and to have something to stick a candle in hahaha. I am interested in seeing how much I can eat of it... I'll have to do a before and after!

Food Before and After Photos
I have a recipe request for some kind of 'icing' for cake. My birthday is coming up and I have found a cake mix that is low sugar and high protein, but I'd like to find something to top it with that isn't full of sugar. I can't have gelatin, that's the only thing. If anyone has any ideas, that would be wonderful.

Yup. I regret this.
I was going to ask you if you took any medications! I am glad you figured it out A crazy thing, but my mum was having some really bad palpitations a while back and I had, by chance, read an article about eye drops causing some heart issues. She stopped them and her palpitations stopped. First line should always be to look at your current meds.

❤MARCH 2019 CHALLENGE❤
#6 - Not sure what I could have done better today... there are still some hours left, so maybe I'll come up with something. So far everything has gone great though. I'm really coming through my depression and starting to feel so much better.

Feeling Defeated
What is the reason for not being able to get down to your goal weight, in the opinion of your nutritionist? Is she saying it's physically impossible? If so, why?

February 2019 weight loss buds
I'm so sorry to hear this. Let me know if you need anyone to talk to about this... I was a leaker too. I'm not sure how it works with the RNY as mine was with the sleeve. Have they talked about using stents at all or are they just going to try to patch the leak for now? Good luck... thinking of you. Hang in there!

❤MARCH 2019 CHALLENGE❤
@Frustr8 - that must have been SO hard for you! I have been my daughter's advocate for many many years now... deciphering what her wants and needs are and making sure they are met. Now I am teaching her to advocate for herself, which she is doing so well. When she was first diagnosed, I was plunged into a pit of darkness. I am away from family... it was so hard to do by myself and I would regularly break down in private, get up and dust myself off ready for the next challenge. There were times I would go for a late night drive, after my little one was in bed, just so that I could scream at the top of my lungs, to get some of the anguish out. Not anguish for me... for her. For the unknown and her future. Back then we didn't know if she'd only ever be echolalic. She is the most wonderful human being. My hopes for her are happiness and to be able to be free from her anxiety. That's my goal right now - we'll see what happens beyond that. Thank you for reaching out and your lovely words - I so appreciate that.
