Where are all the 50 something bypass patients?
Hi I had my RNY surgery in September and I’m very happy I did it. I’m no longer obese and no longer on diabetes and high blood pressure meds. I’ve lost nearly 80 pounds since Pre -op diet and feel much better about myself. Hope you all are doing well.

Must-haves post surgery?
This is going to sound simplistic...but for me...I was so happy to have cottage cheese, sugar free ices, and chicken broth. I also needed stool softener, and benedryl spray for when my incisions started to itch when healing. I have a reclining chair which is nice to find a comfy position...try to get some loose pants or a night gown.

Crunchy stuff
Hi I had my surgery 9/5/17 Saw my nutritionist today. She said I can have a Melba toast this weekend... It's supposed to be 4 weeks...but I have tolerating foods well. But go easy...we aren't supposed to have more than a half piece of toast at a time. I hope you saw a nutritionist. It's very helpful.
