  1. I started cycling 3 weeks ago. I have a heart rate chest band monitor and try to stay in my target zone. I also have an app on my phone to keep track of my speed and distance. I am up to 7.5 miles in 44 minutes. I want to get to 10 miles. But my scale weight loss has slowed way down. I think I am losing fat and getting a little muscle back because my pants are getting looser. I feel like I lost so much muscle in the first 3 months. That is why is started riding a bike so hopefully my leg muscles would at least stay where they were and not disapear anymore. They feel like they are coming back! I hope.
  2. For those who excercise regularly how has it changed or affected your weight loss? Can you share your experance?
  3. I am a newborn baby photographer. Others like myself wrap babies by putting them in their lap. I have never been able to do that because my tummy was to big. I had to use a table or wrap them on the bean bag I use to pose them. TODAY I wrapped the baby on my lap! I almost cried. It was so much easier. Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
  4. I dont cook for him because he wants other kinds of foods and that is fine. But then he also wants mine. I just had to vent...its frustrating
  5. I forgot to ad no rice or potatoes either.
  6. I am still soft food no processed carbs like bread or pasta no sugar no beef nothing crunchy. No uncooked vegtables. I eat alot of chicken and turkey. I am on this diet until 6 months after my surgery. I found this stuff in the freezer section wildscape cilantro lime chicken. I figured it would he 2 days of food for me. It's hard to cook for me and not waist food. It's only me and my significant other in the house. I can't eat anything he eats. He has tons of food chooses in the house. I even picked him up some stuff at the store. He said what's that! When he saw it. I said it's my meals for the next 2 days. He said no it's your one time meal now and the rest is mine. Then when I was done with what I could eat he said let me taste it. He took more bites then I was able to eat and I said your not really going to eat that are you? He said yes and preceded to eat it. Then he acted like I was being selfish because it upset me. This happens a lot. I hope I am not being greedy...but he has other food to eat. Now I have to go back to the store.
  7. Do you get mad when someone eats your food, when there is plenty of other food for them? I am talking adults here not kids. I have very little to choose from they can eat anything. It feels degrading, like my needs are unimportant.
  8. I searched for this topic and cant find anything. So I wanted to ask how your restriction is doing. I really don't want mine to ever go away. But I hear it kind of gets less and less. Are there any people out there who had a VSG years ago and still feel a very strong restriction when eating? What can I expect?
  9. Thanks! I will give it a try
  10. My surgeon said he has been doing this for 12 years about 10 surgeries a week and in that whole time has had only 2 people with leaks. He says its because of the very stick diet he has. The diet kind of sucks...well it really sucks but I trust him and understand why. I have not read about many others talking about their diet being as strict as mine. For a while I was kind of resentful and feeling sorry for myself - that everyone was eating all kinds of stuff. But know I am thankful and think it is the best for me. It seems like a long time when its happening but in retrospect its just a fraction of time compared to your whole life.
  11. No not really. I love water. I have only drank water or milk pretty much my whole life. I dont like sweet things...unless they are real chocolate or cookies LOL. I think I am just tired small drinks. I used to chug water. I cant do that anymore. I know I will get past this and its just a phase :-) once this phase is over its on to the next new phase LOL.
  12. My surgery was July 17th! My surgeon is very strict too. I was on puree for 6 weeks. I just got to go to soft foods. I will be on that until 6 months after surgery. I cant eat much because I get full really fast. I seem to be having a problem with water now. Before I drank more then I was supposed to. Now I struggle. I am tired of drinking LOL
  13. My doctor requires the puree to be very thin and no lumps. He says it should fall through a fork if you tried to use it to eat. I have been looking for ideas but it seems like everyone can have it thicker. And I am very limited to what kind of foods I can have. Defiantly cant have Tabasco. Does anyone else have these requirements and if so what did you eat. Because I have been trying but puree chicken then thin enough to fall threw a fork is just liquid chicken and its pretty gross.
  14. Same here...I was so worried about gas pain. Never felt it once. My surgery was the 17th. Everything was great until about 3 days ago I started to feel constipated. It's been 3 days of mirlax. My doctor told me to take it 3 times a day. I am just now getting some relief. It has been a horrible 3 days. DONT let yourself get constipated! Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
