Ugh this is what I am worried about. I bought tasteless protein mix and made a lot bone broth & creamed soup with puréed veggies for the freezer. I won’t buy more than a 1 week supply of protein shakes for after surgery out of fear I won’t like them anymore. My husband is a bottomless pit though so I guess he’d drink them for me. Thank you for the responses. I really had no idea what purpose they served, I’ve read about helping with loose skin but maybe they meant it helps make it less visible through clothes or something. Obviously I need to read more about them lol [emoji23]. I like the idea that it would help with coughing, it would keep me from taking a pillow everywhere. A friend of mine (not having surgery, I showed her a SS of a pair from Amazon) said they look like spanks. I will have to check them out, thanks. I am making puréed vegetables and storing in baby food jars to take with me to school once I am on puréed foods. My doc said 80% will be removed. I think it is to make sure the parts that trigger hunger are removed but I could be wrong. It’s been a few months since I watched the video. I believe 80% is standard but again, I could be wrong lol HW 248 CW 241 Surgery Date: pending 11/21/2017

I think that is what they talked about. I’ve seen neoprene ones, ones that look like a tank top attached to capris, some top/bottom separates. I have been reading about people using compression garments (after their incisions have healed) after surgery as a way to help possibly cut down the chance of loose skin. Has anyone considered this or have brands that they could suggest? I’m looking on Amazon for some but I have no idea what I am supposed to be looking for, there are a lot of options. I’m in the same situation and wondering the same thing. I’m going to call my doc and ask which weight is used for insurance clearance and will the preop diet disqualify me if I fall under 30 BMI. I am currently using premier protein, I use it instead of creamer & milk in my lattes. I bought isopure tasteless protein to add to homemade bone broth (or even add it to my water) when I am on liquids only. My doctor told me up front if I gain any weight at all during the nutrition trial I would not be allowed to have surgery until that weight was lost. My insurance company has been known to deny people for gaining weight so we had to be super careful. I’m sorry that happened, I hope it goes down before your next appt and you get a quick approval ?? Scheduled my surgery for November 21st with Dr Adams in Norfolk VA, I’m excited and a little nervous. My birthday is Nov 22nd so I will be starting my journey to better health before my 40th birthday [emoji177]

I have been reading up on this and decided to try making my own bone broth. The thought of drinking salty bullion grossed me out, so glad that I didn’t do that thanks for the heads up. [emoji1360]
