I was a low weight/BMI going in. I'm 5'5 I was 217, 36 BMI. I had a revion from a band to a sleeve in on surgery. I started my pre op process in October had Surgery on Jan.11. I currently weight 170 BMI 26. I eat right, exercise feel good. But when I go see the surgeon every two weeks, he keeps telling me how I should be faster more weight. Ugh. So excited. My surgery has been approved (band to bybass) I wasn't sure it was going to happen, But I got the call this morning. Scheduling said it will be early Jan. In the process of switching from a band to bypass. Have completed all my tests. Went to all my meetings. Lost all my pre op weight. Today I had my gallbladder removed. Sore and alot of nausea but I'm trying to remember I yet another step closer. I finished all my pre op tests. I lost 10% of my body weight. I've been in medical weight loss since September. (When I started everything) I have to get my Gallbladder out next Wednesday, then a month or so later hopefully my insurance will approve my surgery band out bypass in [emoji5] fingers crossed. I'm in the process of. I had a BMI of 34.2 (under the 35 needed) when I went for my first apt. Still had my band in will find out very soon if the insurance company approves. I finished all prior tests cardio, endo, nutrion, sleep, ultrasounds, xrays etc and on the 29th I need my gallbladder out. I also had to lose 10%of my body weight so fingers crossed. PS. I'm in the process of. Started sept 15, I have a band still and am doing it all in one surgery. I had complete a bunch of tests echo, endo, ultrasounds,xrays barium swallow. And more and labs , 1 nutrtion, 1 psy and a medical diet plan. I also need to lise 20% of my body weight. I go for a follow up October 27. I have a band. I got it around the same time as you. I have around the same weights as well I was 207 at weigh in with a BMI of 34.5. I was told most likely I'll get my surgery. I was also told for me the sleeve which I wanted might not be a good choice, he recommends bypass because of the amount of damage the band does and how he couldn't make the sleeve small enough.
