Weight loss AFTER removal of excess skin
This is a great question, I'm getting my breast lift and reduction next month. I believe, as long as you're close to goal, you'll be okay. How close to goal, are you?

Soups After Surgery
That sounds delicious, w/ still being in the beginning phase, are you speaking about a broth?

Can I eat this?
Question is, is it worth it? Just as someone said, you can eat whatever you want, for most of us, that's how we got to the point where the surgery was needed. The consequences, you have to live with. I'd much rather live with the successes of saying no to such things.

Can I eat this?
- 2nd Day Post-Op
You know, to be honest, I didn't have the gas issue after the surgery other than an occasional pain or two. Not too long ago, I was in so much pain and I finally decided to chew a Gas-X and lay on my side. WHAT?! GIRL, I feel your pain. It will get better, we promise!- Can I eat this?
You need to change your habits and try to really focus on that, your mind shouldn't immediately go to this. Are you able to eat pork rinds w/ hot sauce?- South Beach Diet Phase 1
Seriously!!!! I never thought about that, the Premiere pop sounds delicious and is the perfect way to get in additional protein. 5 weeks = Your stalls. That makes perfect sense!!!!!- Applebee's?

That may not be the best choice, what other options do they have? The last time I was there, I was post-op and that was almost two years ago. I'll go check out their menu, as well.- Cut Calories and Excercise and no weight loss
I apologize for the delay, I thought I was following this thread. At this point, I'll add cucumbers, a sprinkle of cheese, and a protein (Chicken or Shrimp). I use baby spinach, very seldom will I use ice burg. I can only get in a few bites, and I'm done. At this point, I get salads I know will not wilt and can be eaten as other meals. I used to love them so dang much- Applebee's?
They have a great healthy, no cal/low carb menu. I haven't been there in a bit, but I used to get the beef w/ steamed veggies.- Is Belite Weight still in business??
With a quick Google search, it appears to still be around. https://www.beliteweight.com/- 6 months in the hospital
This sir, made my morning! LOL- South Beach Diet Phase 1
I almost caved last night, I know my Dr. said I can have a little piece of chocolate...BUT...I'd rather not tempt myself and in turn, set myself up for failure. I bought sugar free pops and sugar free pudding, and that hit the spot. I wish they had mini-pop's, it takes a long time to finish one popsicle and I usually end up throwing it out.- Soups After Surgery
Actually, I'm almost two years out. For some reason, it can take a day and a half to eat a bowl of chili, but hey, I'm not the one to complain. Have you tasted the chili from Jason's Deli?- Soups After Surgery
Right!!!!!- South Beach Diet Phase 1
No, I think you doing it is great. Have you found yourself losing a decent amount of weight while being on it, I lost a decent amount of weight prior to the surgery while using this diet. I'm really thinking about getting back on the SB wagon, one week out of the month, I go insanely "Coo Coo for carbs and chocolate", mode. Yikes!!!- South Beach Diet Phase 1
Two weeks prior to my WLS, I was on the South Beach Phase 1 diet. Has anyone done the same, and if so, are you still somewhat following the same regimen?- Opioid Malabsorption
The weight gain is said to be for the long-term users. Unless it's a "end of life/cancer " issue and w/ seeing the impact opioids is now having, I'd rather not see it used long term.- Soups After Surgery
That, lol. You and that profile picture is, GREAT! You know, I had the same question. Before the surgery, I ate the heck out of Pho. I often get really frustrated w/ soups due to filling up so quickly (Three to four spoonfuls) , I've given up on them. Now, I will get a bowl of chili from Jason's Deli or Whole Foods, they're low in carbs, sugars, and are packed with Protein. I find the bowl with a touch of cheese, low fat sour cream, and onions can last for lunch and dinner, and may carry over into the next day. Other soups, blah...they won my frustration battle. lol- Cut Calories and Excercise and no weight loss
Very nice! If I may ask, do you have a hard time eating a salad? The moment I start eating one, I'm full after several bites.- Not Hungry, Regular Food Phase
I hope you don't mind, but I'm reading the information you posted in the link. This is great and thank you very much, for sharing.- Not Hungry, Regular Food Phase
Things will be okay, I'm almost two years out and sometimes, I have to remind myself to eat. The process is all worth it!- Gained almost all my weight back
LOL, that's all I can do when it comes to your response. I did say that and I didn't say your opinion was wrong. Due to the emotional state of the OP, the truth can be said, but in a more mature manner. No worries, @Introversion handled that for you. Thanks for the response, it is appreciated.- Gained almost all my weight back
100%, agree. The way you stated it, is a bit more polite than Sammie. Based on what the OP said, I'd assume, they're very sensitive and hearing a response like yours, is a bit more welcoming and removes the blow of being so blunt. - 2nd Day Post-Op
