  1. I’m in the same boat! Have been at 175 for a month. Was sleeved June 12, 2017. Any idea how to start back losing?
  2. Possibly. I would mention it before the surgery
  3. What does your plan say? For me there wasn’t no bread, pasta, rice etc, but there was 3 ounces of fish or chicken and some vegetables (a long list of no’s) at 16 weeks pork and beef was added with raw veggies (yay salads) I have learned to tolerate cauliflower as a replacement for the rice that I love and spiraling zucchini for pasta
  4. For me it feels different kinda like the first time all over again ?
  5. I’m 9 months out and have to admit I do forget my vitamins a lot. I did lose some hair but wasn’t that much I guess. And I’m down 100 pounds. Another shameful secret is I don’t drink my required number of protien shakes. I try but the further out I get the worst they taste
  6. Yes!!! Even he is like um what did you do? Ok I feel so much better now!
  7. So I have a question for the ladies. Does it feel like everything below the waist has shrunk as well!? Do you lose weight there too????? ??‍♀️
  8. My surgeon felt I was losing to quickly also. At my 8 month check up I was down 100 pounds. Although he was very impressed he increased my caloric goal. He was also impressed because even though I’ve lost that much I do not have as much skin as he thought I had.
  9. My program cleared me for veggies etc at 4 months.
  10. Crap typo. Stitch is what I meant. It’s easier to add a stitch
  11. Yes they can. My surgeon says he would rather have to go in and add a stick versus go in and loosen it up. Just a thought. Good luck to you.
  12. If it continues see your surgeon. They could have possibly tightened you up to much with the hernia repair. Also slow down with your eating and drinking as when you spit to fast you will get pressure in the chest. Also invest in gas-x, my friend swears by it.
  13. That is very interesting, as a health care worker I would have never thought of that! Thanks for sharing.
  14. Mine have changed drastically as well and it is a struggle to eat most things. Tell him hang in there.
  15. Unfortunately the ones I liked prior to surgery make me nauseous now. So I gave away a bunch of them. I do however love GNCs lean shake. 25grams of protien, 3 carbs.
  16. I do a modified keto. Meaning I do not do the high fat, yet I do very low carb and the high protien that is required by my nutritionist. this also helped. https://www.bariatriceating.com/2017/03/bee-keto-bariatric-plan/
  17. I had dumping before my surgery and I know how you feel. Don’t think of it as a failure. It’s your body’s natural defense and it should not last. Since my surgery 6/12/17 I have had it 4 times and two of them it was my fault because I was asking for it. Just make a note of what causes it and try to steer clear or limit it. Good luck and don’t beat yourself up.
  18. At my first meeting my nutritionist asked what diet you followed, vegan etc and would create a plan based on that. Maybe have a sit down and tell her no meat!! Good luck.
  19. My program was different however at 7 months out I’m struggling to get 800 calories in a day. My doctor has ordered (like really wrote an order) for me to do 3 protein shakes a day to get my calories. His goal at this point is 1000-1200 for me but will settle for 800-1200. Down 90 pounds total, it’s just a struggle to eat.
  20. That maybe where my nutritionist is coming from. Because I can see how that can be a gateway food for other bad habits. Thank you so much for your input!! This is why I love this group. ?
  21. My people don’t agree. But I will see if they came to an agreement. My dietician is tough, but sometimes you have to be.
  22. thanks!! just couldn't do it from the phone.
  23. How do you update your current weight on here?
