Ok guys I am 11 weeks post op and I feel great ! I’ve lost 42lbs since surgery and 67 lbs since my journey started in April !! my question is I get the “stall” like ever couple of weeks . This time it’s been like 10 days what am I doing or not doing ? This is my Journey to Joy !

Thank Goodness for insurance!! I got my statement from the Hospital today..a whopping $69,000!!!

YAY everyone.. feeling so much better this week.. i had a follow up with my surgeon and dietitian yesterday and i am back on track. moving back into soft veggies and meats and monday will be week six! OH and drum roll please! .............. i am officially down 50 lbs since i started the program in April and 25 lbs since surgery .. I will take it !

i am doing sooo much better. i did end up in the ER on Friday 12/1 for more fluids due to dehydration and nausea. But i am happy to report that i am feeling like a million bucks today. NO twingie pain anymore from internal stitches, no nausea and i am eating ! Happy Dance.. which means the scale finally moved! i am officially down 20 lbs since surgery and 44.6 lbs since April!!

Thankyou !! I came home and still got sickies after drinking plain water . But after that I was ok . We shall see in the morning how I feel . If not they want to do an upper gi . I definanately do not want to have to get another procedure like you had to do !! Are you feeling better now ? But I do know that my surgeons office doesn’t charge for something like that . They say it’s all included since I’m still in their care This is my Journey to Joy !

Well I think you should be getting in more fluid than that and if your nauseated and dizzy you could be dehydrated. I was dizzy too , I almost passed out in the shower this morning but I caught myself . And so nauseated and dry heaves . You should call your surgeon right away . I am glad I did and soooo hoping I wake up felling better tomorrow after 1 iv if potassium chloride and 1 iv if sodium chloride . If I’m still stuck tomorrow they want to do an upper gi This is my Journey to Joy !

Well I am sitting in the hospital getting iv fluids . I am dehydrated from being so nauseated and this morning was dry heaving . I haven’t been able to get in anything the last few days This is my Journey to Joy !

I had my RNY on 10/30 and my surgery weight was 330.5.. i lost 15 lbs the first 2/12 weeks home and now i have been stalled for like 10 days... hoping it moves soon!!! you sound just like me !

SO nauseated all the time this week and food is getting stuck.. has anyone tried papaya enzyme..

I had my follow up with my surgeon today finally .. usually they do 1 week but he was out . It’s been 2. 1/2 weeks . I get to go back to work tomorrow yay ! I am so ready ! Because I’m bored . I am down 12 lbs and feeling great all except for the pain next to my right side incision. He said there are stitches in my abdominal muscles there to prevent a hernia . ANd it’s normal for them to start hurting now because I am doing more . Other than that he said I’m great ! Down 37.5 lbs since April and on track . I just gotta remember to eat slower . I have done that three times nd it hurts so bad you would think I would learn quicker !! This is my Journey to Joy !

You’ll get there . I was dying . We go from clear liquids / milk protein to soft. No puréed stage . But I did try scrambled egg and nope . Did not set well maybe I will try it in a chicken salad or something Z later . Weird how all programs are different . I can’t have fruits and veggies yet . And that’s what I want a banana sounds so good and a salad. I just want a salad but that’s like the last thing I can have. Like week 10 This is my Journey to Joy !

I graduated to soft food today 11 day post op . Good bye jello! Lol I can have low fat cheeses , cottage cheese , sf pudding again , minced up reall fine chicken and tuna , toast and wheat thins . Oh and eggs This is my Journey to Joy !

Well I am taking liquid Vicodin although I’m trying not to take more than I need I am lucky I guess I don’t have to have a drain. Incisions look good. They have Steri strips on them I’m not supposed to take them off , but I do keep bandaids on top of them . I’m just tired . I can’t sleep and irritable . I wear my binder they provided me almost 24/7 . It helps with the pain . My follow up isn’t until the 16th but bari. 500 class is on the 9th that’s when I get purreed food This is my Journey to Joy !

Day five post op: trying to get in my fluids and my tummy is really rumbly ! Pain on my right side incision has really not gone away actually worse not the incision itself but the area around it . Like numbing has wore off around it . This is my Journey to Joy !

I don’t know why we would have extra incisions. Having trouble sleeping tonight for sure. Still have a lot gas’s but haven’t “located “ my Pouch yet. No full feeling not empty feeling either . This is my Journey to Joy !

I am going home today ! I didn’t talk onnhere much yesterday . I was dozing off a lot . Doing well with pain . Just the right side of abdomen hurts . I have 5 insisins also . They said my liver was perfect ?I have a lot a lot of gas pain and can’t tell the difference between being full and gas . My iv sites have been hard to handle. I have had. Four and I hope. O more
