  1. congrats on getting a surgery date! I'm nervous too!
  2. I hear that it could be hard, but just focus on the long term goal. My surgeon told me that I would only have to do 3 days minimum of liquid diet before surgery.
  3. Hey! I just completed my psych evaluation today and I thought I would come here sins share my experience. Okay, my insurance is Cigna so it didn't require the mmpi test. My test was about 150 questions half were true/false and the rest were agree/disagree. Also the doctors asked me a couple questions to make sure that will follow the guidelines of the doctor after the surgery. Basically, making sure I'm not crazy, depressed, or panic/anxiety attacks. The process took about an hour. Then they told me that my doctor would it the results in about a week. I have my last visit with my nutritionist on July 5th! Then there is the waiting on approval.
  4. Pray for a speedy recovery, no complications
  5. oh wow, I reading on here that there a are several people that are going to Mexico for the surgery and i'm hearing that its has been successful. I wish you the best of luck and a speedy recovery! Keep us posted!

  11. Hey, Houston, Texas here! I do not have a date yet, still in the process, will be done in July and then waiting on approval. Hopefully, it will be August or September for surgery. I will be getting the sleeve. Good luck to you and your journey, keep us posted
  12. Also want to add.. I love the GNC lean shakes! lol
  13. Okay, my doctor was talking about Celebrate Vitamins and shakes, they sell them in their office. I have heard that they do not go down too well and they taste bad. I have tasted premier shakes and they are not too bad. lol My doctor does not like the patches, saying that you don't get all the vitamins you need from the patch. I guess it depends on the person.
  14. that is some uplifting news! I hope mine goes that fast, I will be done with everything on July 5th.
  15. Congrats! I have Cigna as well. How long did it take for them to approve it?
  16. hello there in Corpus, thank you for answering my question. I know its different for most people, but I just wanted to get an idea of what to expect. I hear the "chugging" is a distant memory...lol you cant ever chug after the surgery. I figured it may be hard because you can only take in so much.
  17. Congrats on your weight loss.... Yess.. another one from Houston! I cant wait until i have a date, i just want to get it over with lol. Do you have any issues getting all your liquids in? I hear that is hard to do after surgery.
  18. hey, what are the best vitamins to take after you have the surgery and also what are good brands for protein shakes that have less sugar?
  19. Wow!.... awesome you losing already so that would be a great help when you have the surgery. Please keep us informed on your recovery! I wish you the best of luck and a speedy recovery. Hopefully I will have a date in August, once i complete everything on July 5th.

  21. Hey from Houston as well! Yes my mind is saying yes! I'm going to have step out on faith.
  22. I'm one step away from completing my requirements for my insurance. It's seems like it be in August or early September when I will get the sleeve. I'm extremely nervous and back and forth on if this is the right decision or should I just keep struggling with losing/ gaining weight roller coaster. My fear of course is complications and the whole idea of having surgery because I've never had any surgery done before. I hope I'm not the only one with these fears.
  23. I'm located in Texas. I haven't been scheduled yet, but my surgeon discussed with me I would be on the pre-opt diet for three days.
  24. Wow.. congrats on your journey. I wish a speedy recovery! Keep us posted
  25. That's awesome! God has a way of making things happen for you because he already had it worked out! Yes.. once I hear approval.. I will post!
