  1. I'm sorry Theresa. It does get better. I had a horrible day today and did not eat like I should have, but I'll get back on track tomorrow. If it's not a passing thing, you might want to call where you had your surgery, if it's a major medical facility, and ask them for a therapist for you to see. I'm getting close to a year out. I look and feel great. It will be worth it. Hope you feel better soon! Sent from my SM-T550 using BariatricPal mobile app
  2. Pinky - please keep the goodies out of the house. It helps. Best to you. I'm going to order the book on dealing with emotions for myself. I've always had anxiety problems. I was sleeved 9/21/16 240 now 165 - 5 pounds from my goal Sent from my SM-T550 using BariatricPal mobile app
  3. Hi Babs - have you looked into exercising in a pool. Don't know if you live in a city or not, but if there's a pool available, you can get a real workout in a pool exercise class. Congrats on the 60 pounds. That's nothing to sneeze at. Best to you. Sent from my SM-T550 using BariatricPal mobile app

  6. Very interesting comments/answers. I was sleeved Sept. 2016 and am thrilled with the results; however, I am struggling much more with anxiety. I soothed myself with food most of my life. I'm seeing a therapist to help deal with some of the major stressors in my life and may try accupuncture. I'm really trying to eat right and exercise, but have had a few anxiety attacks. 10. Everybody worries before surgery. For me it's the best thing I've ever done. Start weight 240 ,now 9 months out 171. I look and feel great. Yes, low energy for 6 weeks - not eating much and recuperating from surgery, but wow, you should see me go now. Yes, I count calories and am vigilant about what I eat, but it's worth it. When I get off course with the eating, which I occasionally do, I jump back on course the next day. Good Luck! Sent from my SM-T550 using BariatricPal mobile app
  11. Crossing my legs is great! Wearing shorts this summer is wonderful too - so cool. That airplane seat felt better too! Sent from my SM-T550 using BariatricPal mobile app
  12. Mom2tess - I don't drink all the water that I'm supposed to. I get busy and forget. I also don't like plain water, so drink Crystal Light and other no cal non-carbonated drinks. I like the no calorie Arnold Palmers too. I do always get the protein in. I like tuna salad (I use canned tuna) and since I live on the east coast and shrimp is plentiful and fairly inexpensive, I eat a good bit of shrimp. As said before, I like eggs, and I like lowfat cottage cheese. Almost never eat beef. I drink wine, but always measure it. It is my weekness! Total deprivation does not work for me. I've learned the hard way. Sent from my SM-T550 using BariatricPal mobile app
  13. Hi Mom2tess - I record calories on Fitness Pal. Try to stay 1000 to 1200 calories. I eat low carb. Some days a total bomb with calories, if something special going on. I wear a Fitbit - try to get those 10,000 steps in. I do Zumba usually 4 days a week. Fun exercise, if u like to dance. I have had several stalls. If I'm doing what I'm supposed to do, I do not worry about it. Weight loss very slow now. Weigh about 2 times a week. I still have a large appetite. Bummer! Favorite snacks Greek yogurt (Fit and Light - 80 calories, plus 1 tablespoon slivered almonds ), deviled eggs made with Hellmans light mayo, dijon mustard, no sugar added sweet relish, salt and pepper - very filling, and dry roasted almonds. Hope this helps! Sent from my SM-T550 using BariatricPal mobile app
  14. I'm now 62. Had my sleeve surgery 9/21/16. Starting weight 240, now 172. Goal weight 160. I'm the happiest I've been in years. Sent from my SM-T550 using BariatricPal mobile app
  15. I bought size 12 petite shorts from Talbots yesterday. Sweet! And 1 pair was 40 percent off. Down 70 pounds and loving it. Sent from my SM-T550 using BariatricPal mobile app
