  1. I was going to say acid. I get that feeling but don’t eat excessice, because I know it’s just that darn acid
  2. Sleeved 1/2. This is the best thing I’ve ever done in life, aside from having my family. But I do find myself picking at things I’m not supposed to and it hits me hard ?
  3. My mom had the band and had a lot of those complications right after having it placed. It just depends on the person!! I have second guessed myself before also, but then I bring myself right back to "ok I might be able to lose some weight on my own, but will I be able to keep it off? NO!!" You can do this!!
  4. Thanks so weird that you had to do a consult!! I haven't heard that yet
  5. That's so awesome!! I am doing a "test run" and I was sugar queen 100%, but I have been doing ok with it [emoji854] 2 pounds is FANTASTIC!!
  6. First, congrats on finally getting a date!! I know it feels like forever, and I'm still in that forever stage waiting to be approved and get a date going. I have babies and a hubby at home and all I think about is well what if I didn't do this? Then how long would I be here? Who knows, all I know is that I am taking the leap to make sure I am here in the future, because these surgeons do this everyday, and everything is going to go so well. Please don't worry about anything, just know you are doing the right thing 100%!!
  7. I've been doing a practice round this week, I noticed that if I have my super yummy protein shake twice a day and a few popsicles and maybe some broth, that makes me feel not hungry. I was a huge sweets person and could eat anything, drink pop, coffee. But I cut all of that to do this "test run." What's the hardest part for you?
  8. Mine was like that too, he interrogated me about what I ate like as a child (like I remember) and then interrogated me about what I eat like now and that was it... I'm like welp that was a stupid $100 copay!!
  9. Fatgirl56 I have a feeling thats what it's going to be for me
  10. Awesome!! Can't wait to get to that day!
  11. Yayy!!! That's so exciting!!! I can't wait to get to that point! How long after you finished the NUT visits did you get the date?
  12. You two look FANTASTIC!!
  13. Yesss!!! So awesome to hear! Can't wait until I get to that stage!
  14. Great!! I've read so many posts from people saying they are having no pain, so reassuring after reading about ones that weren't so lucky with pain.
  15. Very cool, so exciting!! Congrats on your accomplishment
  16. I'm right there with you, just starting out and wanting to try and lose weight, but afraid of the dreaded stall. I can't lose too much, as I'm right of the edge of BMI requirements for my insurance. It's a weird situation, it's great to lose weight, but not when in this situation. My ABSOLUTE favorite protein shake is Syntrax Nectar chocolate truffle. I add banana sometimes and always peanut butter or peanut powder. So delicious
  17. Yay!! Congrats. I'm around your age, just a few years older, and still early in pre-op.
  18. I have so many "can't waits" and I'm still early in the pre-op stage!! That's so good to hear that things went smoothly and there was minimal pain, and that you were able to take in the food that you did!!
  19. Eek!! Sounds like a whirlwind of a time. Good luck and keep up the good work with walking!!
  20. I haven't gone through it yet so no suggestions from me but want to with you good luck! You'll do great
  21. What a difference!!! That's so great, good luck on your journey!
  22. I wonder the same about going from trying to stay on track to being forced to. I'm also doing pre-op steps, my doc makes me feel like I can do if on my own and then I get confused like should I try on my own and either fail or gain it all back eventually. Good luck with pre op!
