hello. having your band too tight will not make you lose weight. your asophagus will just get swollen causing you to throw up. you can hurt your band by waiting too long to get loosened up. im sure your doctor(even though hes in italy) will have an emergency line. even going to the ER they can loosen you there.

after delivery has anyone had problems with their band?? Like slippage, trouble relosing weight, etc? just wondering. am considering pregnancy but dont want to ruin the $15,000 band i paid for out of my own pocket on november 2007. any suggestions? my doc says wait 2 years but that is so far away!!!!

hi. this is not a smart comment but instead of buying 3 or 4 dollar pregnancy test wouldnt it be wiser to invest 6 or 7 dollars on 1 name brand test? just a thought. that way you wouldnt have to question the positive.

i feel the same way. i have 1 daughter and my husband wants more. i was banded in november 07. i feel like i should be able to have some input since its my body. i dont think i am going to risk it. yes more kids would be nice. but i paid 14,000.00 for this surgery(out of my own pocket) and i dont want to blow it by getting pregnant. ya know. you do whats best for you. i think i might stick with being happy with the 1

...after being banded did you get pregnant? im pretty sure my doctore told me to wait a year. i was just curious what your doctors said and what you did. thanks.

i just buy the disposable baby spoons at walmart. they are rainbow colored. i dont throw them away unless i have to.

ive never had this problem. knock on wood... im usually tender after a normal fill. i had to go in a few days ago to get some unfilling and that really hurt. it was only a 2 day gap between the fill and unfill. i was really sore from the extra poking. is the needle larger than a normal needle or what? normally shots dont bother me but that thing feels like an epidural needle.

your numbers got messed up and says 2st 3lb since may 31st. what was it supposed to say? i was banded november 2007 and have lost 48 pounds. i started as 245 on a 5'8 frame. my goal is 180. i know too tight is not good because it can wear on your band(my doc told me yesterday).

went on friday and got 1.7 ccs put in which brought my 5cc band up to 3.2. i am sooo tight! i am going today to get unfilled some. i have been vomiting everything! pudding, crytsal light, instant breakfast, even water! do you think that being too tight is the problem? ive never had acid reflux but this morning i was burning in my throat. appreciate any opinions or advice. thanks!!

hi. 10 fills in a year is not that excessive. my doctor tells me to get a fill every 4 weeks. also. how big is your band? mine only holds 5 and i get a 1/2 everytime i go. so i would need 10 fills to reach my five and that would be a year. this doctor sounds like he doesnt put the band on right. somthings fishy here.
