No, I submitted an application where I entered all my medical information, and for me (since I have a lapband) I had to go have an endoscopy done and send them the results.. other than that you go down a day early to get blood work and everything done.. then have your surgery. They are pros over there. It's all they do. My friend who went were out of recovery within a few hours, start to finish.. back to work within a week. They have a coordinator that works with you VERY CLOSE, to guide you through the entire process, answer any question ect.... They were a bit more expensive than other places but for that standard of care it's worth it to me. I've been doing keto for the last couple of months. Up until this week I wasn't sure if my revision to a sleeve would pan out so I needed to really dig in and better my lifestyle. I love it, and plan on keeping it up once I'm sleeved (but I think it'll be slightly easier) my biggest hurdle as it is, is finding lapband friendly AND keto friendly foods. I am going through this right now as I prep for my revision. My boyfriend keeps dropping comments about how I "better not cheat" I'm "doing it for myself" ect.. I would give anything if he could read what's in my heart. Yes I want to look better, but I DO want to look better for him. I want to be his arm candy, I want his friend's to stop thinking he has the girlfriend with the "pretty face" I want to be able to wear lingerie and feel sexy. I know this is a strong opinion, but I'm greatly tired of brand new lapband patients trying to educate me on my lapband that I've struggled with for 7+ years. I don't need ANOTHER adjustment. I don't OVEREAT. I don't BREAK the rules. I don't eat foods that I'm not supposed to eat. Believe me, I wouldn't just give up on a tool that I paid $13.3k for CASH when I barely had the ability to get a loan to do so. So please, be considerate and understand that I too thought the lapband was the best thing on the planet in the beginning. It took several years to get me to the decision to remove it. Ok rant over.
