I tell people when they ask where I've disappeared to I've stayed off social media before surgery kinda don't know if I want to document it to the world but if anyone asks I definitely let them know. You never know whose life you're saving or enlightening!

So I usually nap when I get home from work when I wake up I have my puréed food and I'm good but since I nap I'm always up at 2-3am maybe later (see time of post I'm not lying lol) My sleep pattern is the absolute worst since surgery. What can I do when I'm hungry in these hours I'm awake? I don't eat I go to sleep hungry and wake up in so much hunger and pain.

I use the Nuva Ring my doc said it was fine to have... he also recommended not getting pregnant for a year after THANK GOD FLR THE SINGLE LIFE LOL

You're only on day 2 my doc had me on clear liquids for two weeks. Oh and yellow Gatorade because you can see through it.

My doctor won't allow protein until 4 weeks out of surgery I'd say check with your doctor. I also found the sugar free popsicles too sweet. And the premiere shakes annoy me in taste so I just started making smoothies with them but I'm on week 3.

Yes like an air pocket I got scared because I thought I might have pulled a staple in my stomach.

Nope my large incision was on my belly button and I've had no pain there thank God. To better explain it's like when you have an air bubble and can't inhale too well until it pops

Hey guys I'm 13 days vsg post op and about a day ago I started having this sharp pulling pain it happens when I inhale. It doesn't hurt when I lay on my left side though. Anyone experience this?

Omg! We are surgery sisters I had mine 6/2!!! VSGNEEDED: They gave me Pepcid at the hospital, I had a patch behind my ear for nausea since surgery day. Hang in there we are gonna make it!!! I'm thinking about going to the pharmacy and buying the patches for home!

Thanks so much everyone I managed to start the protein shakes although my doctor said it's after the clear liquids phase. They told me not to take gasX because they wanted me to get rid of the gas on my own as opposed to it being pushed in one direction.

So Just had surgery 6/2/17 and nothing is sitting well with my stomach everything causes gas and pain.... I just want to be able to get to the mashed potatoes phase... feel like I'm hungry but the SF jello makes my stomach absolutely turn! And I can only consume about half a popsicle before my pain develops. When I have broth I end up with a gross aftertaste and burping it up constantly. Anyone have any suggestions or experiences with this?
