  2. Are you pushing too much activity and need to rest more? I noticed when I was walking and "pushing through the pain" that I started having more back pain.
  3. I am walking a lot. The gas is getting better. There are times of day though that I feel like the Pillsbury dough boy or the girl that turned into a blueberry in "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory". Lol I've decided that with many things in life, if we truly knew how hard it would be, we probably wouldn't do it. My weight has been my safety blanket to not do things and truly live life. I know it's the best decision for me, but had I known how I would feel and for how long, my fears and anxiety would get in the way and I wouldn't have gone through it. I'm glad I didn't know until it was too late and I was wondering why time machines don't yet exist. [emoji16][emoji23] Hope your journey is going well for you!

  6. Lol. Just blame it on the cat! They always give dirty looks anyway![emoji23][emoji23]
  7. Thanks. It's weird, i know I've read about it quite a bit, but when it actually happens, I wasn't quite prepared. Congrats on your surgery!
  8. Thanks. I'll call them.
  9. I had bypass on Wednesday. Yay! I'm struggling with gas pains. I keep walking, taking small sips, and using gas-x strips. I can't pass any gas. Anyone have some more ideas for me? My helpful hubby said I should just put a pin in my stomach to see if I'll just take off like a balloon. Lol

  13. My surgery is scheduled for August 2nd. In the middle of my 2 week pre surgery diet [emoji51]. Protein shakes through the day and then chicken or fish and veggies for dinner. It's amazing what my mind does. Before I could be at work, sip on a protein shake, get busy, and forget to eat for most of the day. Now, because I can't, I want to eat my arm off. Lol
  14. If you want natural, aloe Vera juice (inner leaf) can help with constipation and has less carbs then prune juice.
  15. I'm from Washington state. My date is August 2nd! Yay!

  22. I'm scheduled for wls on August 2nd and just for extra excitement my hubby and I finally decided to flip our house that we hate and sell. We've got two months as our goal to list it is August 1st. Easy peasy.

  24. I totally get it. I know what we are all doing is making a change so we can live longer, healthier lives. My kids are my life. My biggest fear in all this is not waking up from surgery and leaving them without a mom. However, at this point, the benefits outweigh the risks. The risk of surgery is small compared to co morbidities of the weight we carry. I have to trust that I have been honest with my surgeon and he will do his best on the table. I will wake up from this, work hard to change me, and give my babies a better life! You've got this. Fear is normal. Just don't let it paralyze you.
  25. I have one more nutrition appt on May 25, have to get EKG done, then will submit to insurance. Hoping for early July for surgery. I can't wait. I've lost 27 pounds since November but I've been stuck lately. This is when I would normally give up and gain all the weight back. Just waiting on this surgery to help me get past this. Waiting is the hardest!!!! Dreaming about things I'll be able to do after definitely helps though. I'm tired of being where I'm at.

  28. My husband kept telling me I'm gonna get locked up. Lol. It ended up being about two hours. There was a three hundred question true/false test, answering questions like do I hear voices and do I believe most people are out to get me, that kind of thing. Then she spent time talking with me about home life, if I know what surgery entails, how my life is going to change, etc. Basically if I have a good support system and stable home life.
