I waited a week. They submitted to Insurance for approval and once they got the approval they called me.

I was given the date the same day they sent my stuff to insurance. Still waiting for insurance approval but my date is Oct. 17th.

I made a friend on here that had surgery back in May. She gave me this site to get the protein shakes from them and your insurance pays for it. She already got approved and received her shipment. I filled out the app on line waiting for the call. They don't accept government funded insurances like Medicaid or Medicare but they do private insurance and the affordable care act insurances. https://www.insurenutrition.com/index.php

So I had to do the 6 months because they said they'd rather be safe than sorry. If they would have submitted with only 3 months and they deny me then I have to wait another 3 months to resubmit. I finished all my requirements and paperwork was submitted today. Just waiting on approval and Surgery is set for Oct 17th. Wish me luck.

Woohoo, finally got my surgery date....October 17th!!! Who's my surgery twin? Let's share and keep checking in pre-op and post-op. I'm 5'8" and was diagnosed with PCOS 2 years ago when I realized everything I tried to do to lose weight failed. I started my journey in April of this year and I've completed my 6 month requirements on September 6th. My surgeon (Dr. Merola) submitted my paperwork to the insurance (Emblem Health HIP NY) yesterday. Just waiting on my approval. HW: 317 CW: 315 GW: 1st- 250, 2nd- 200, 3rd- 170
