Regret
Had my first follow up today. Told the surgeon the first week I had nothing but regret. Now I am doing much better. It sucks that our whole life has to change in order to be healthy and we can't eat like we used to. My surgeon said with time I will be able to eat...small amounts and only things I can tolerate lol. But you know what?? I am slowly getting healthy. My blood sugar has been below 150 for the past two weeks on one Medication...my numbers usually run around 200... have faith.

Tortilla's......
Wondering if anyone eats low carb, high fiber small tortillas. I found a recipe for a breakfast burrito and am hoping to be able to eat. 1 egg scrambled, 1 turkey sausage link, 1/8 c. Low fat shredded cheese in a tortilla..

HOP INTO SPRING CHALLENGE!!
You guys we can do this!! We put ourselves through a lot to be able to lose weight. I have faith in you all....I have found faith in myself as well. I have a long journey in front of me as I am only 11 days post-op. I will have set backs and I am sure I will have moments of WTF was I thinking. Then I stop and think....my blood sugar has been normal since the surgery. I am only on 1 medication for it. Pretty soon I may be able to get off my blood pressure medicine and the more I lose the better my body is going to feel. #yougotthis.

Oikos only has Stevia extract. I agree about the Fage though...I love it with fresh blueberries. ?

Regret
I keep telling myself...this is a choice you made in order to be healthy and live longer. My biggest fear is dying at 60 like my dad did. It is sometimes an obsessive thought I have and that is only 15 years away... I want to be healthy, take less meds, feel comfortable in my skin and happy with my life. [emoji1591]Angie

Vegetable Intolerances after GSV
Just wondering if there are veggies you can't eat anymore. I am a big salad junkie and am worried I may not get to enjoy them anymore. Many have said it just depends on what your body can handle... curious to hear your experiences. [emoji1591]Angie

3day post op, the protein shakes are killing me.
I love the Premier protein shakes. Banana is my favorite. The chocolate is good too. I also happen to like the way medicine tastes (my husband find me and this very odd lol). I usually put the 4 oz over ice. They truly are best ice cold. Luck to you

Any May Sleevers?
I am 9 days out and still tire easily. I went to the grocery store for some soup today and filled up the tank for my husband. By the time I got home my side was hurting and I felt like I ran a marathon. Go easy...your body needs time to heal. ?

What's the story behind your profile name?
That's crazy about divorcing the Food Network. I have watched it every day since my surgery (9 days) and nothing sounds good. Thank god...I don't think I could get by without that darn channel. [emoji1591]Angie

VSG & autoimmune diseases?
I have RA, Fibromyalgia, Diabetes and neuropathy (many more as well). Everything is the same with the exception of the diabetes. My numbers have been ranging from 70-160. That is excellent for me. I am only taking one pill for diabetes right now per surgeons orders. Luck to you. [emoji1591]Angie

Retaining water post surgery?
Hey all. I am 9 days post op. At check in I weighed 246 pounds. 3rd day post op at home weighed 256. Totally freaked out. I have been busting my ass to get in all the liquid requirements from my surgeon. Peeing like crazy and figured I was mostly hydrated. I weighed myself yesterday and I was 243. Things are going in the right direction. Did anyone else experience this or am I an anomaly? Over all I am feeling good. When I am up to long my right side starts hurting. Not sure if it's gas or the two puncture sites. After I sit I am fine. So I get up and walk often...with pain. I figure it will go away. I will ask my surgeon at my follow up appt on the 23rd Hope you are all well!! [emoji1591]Angie

May sleevers?
My stomach is round too!! I was upset the other day because I got on the scale and I was up almost 10 pounds from the day of surgery. I haven't eaten a darn thing and haven't had enough calories to justify the weight gain. Others on here have said retaining fluid is normal so I haven't freaked out too bad. It's scary going in for WLS and within a week weighing more... I'm looking forward to the puréed stage of food. Can't wait for applesauce!! and cream of chicken soup!!

May sleevers?
I am 5 days post op and am feeling pretty good. I have a lot of abdominal gas, a stomach that gurgles like crazy ?? my husband heard it this morning and said it sounds like a volcano erupting. The pain med is controlling the pain and overall I feel pretty darn good. Looking forward to eating solid food again...

3day post op, the protein shakes are killing me.
My discharge paperwork states I can have a protein shake only if I am getting in 50 ounces of clear liquid in also. I am shooting for 50 today (5 days post op) so I can have a banana protein shake.
