Retaining water after surgery

Hey all. My weight has increased since surgery. I have been drinking chicken broth and think part of the reason is the high sodium content. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Trying not to freak out...

It's not the sodium in the broth. In fact you need that right now to help with dehydration. It is most likely due to the IV fluids before and after surgery. It will get better soon.

Thank you for replying. I was starting to stress out. The scale goes up when I haven't eaten anything since Sunday at 5:30pm. Lol
