  1. You've done fantastic!!!
  2. For me, still hangin tight at 70. Congrats to all!
  3. If you quit going to the Doctor so soon I doubt you even had a chance to hit your sweet spot. Run back to your doctor and get back on track, You can do this. I know it's a lot of hard work but it's gonna be worth it in the long run. And please try to remember it most likely took a lot longer then 6mo. to put the weight on and it's gonna take more then 6 mo. to get it off. I notice this is your first post, Just stay on the board and I'm sure you'll find it easier with the help of people that are going through the same thing you are. You've already taken the first step by asking for support. Good luck to you. OH! and don't judge your loss by someone else try to remind yourself slow and steady wins the race.
  4. Yes it's on lifetime, 5 o'clock where I'm at. If you watch it let me know what you think.
  5. Teetering with a pound at the Moment I'm up and down with the same one and don't want to count it until it stays down. It will be the first movement I've had in a while. And even though it's only 1 lbs I really really want to see it stay down, If not for any other reason then to know my scale is still working (LoL) Any how, I hope everyone is doing well. Question: Anyone watch cook yourself thin, If so what do you think of it? The food looks good ya know like real food but I wasn't really sure because of some of the ingredients they use. I ordered the cookbook and think I can change the recipes up a little to make them a little more band friendly. I would love your feedback.
  6. All I can say is OUCH!! but worth it.
  7. Congrats!!! It's a wonderful thing.
  8. I'm with MollyMolly, It's more how long I stay full then how much I can eat. I'm ready for a fill now but I have revision surgery on the 9th (not band) and have to wait.
  9. Right now I'm lucky to loose 2 lbs a month. but still very happy with my band. I just try to remember how long I was heavy and then this waiting game doesn't seem so bad.
  10. Thats what I do, but I go for the string cheese(less cals) It's what I take to lunch often also.
  11. I smoked before and after surgery and just quit 2 mo. ago and it stalled my weight loss. I wish I had quit before. If I had it to do over again I would have quit first.
  12. for me not bad, I flew to VA. from Mexico 2 days after surgery by myself and was up and walking the night of surgery. worst was soarness around port. You'll be fine. Good luck!
  13. Well, I can only assume it's me and not the band. I had breast surgery in Jan. and haven't worked out really much to speak of. And with quitting smoking I guess I've been putting to much in my mouth. But I'm gonna work hard to get back on track. I also beleave the closier you get to your goal weight the harder it is to loose. but I think we can all do this it's just a matter of time. I do wish I knew when I do and don't need a fill, when I got my last fill I was so tight and now I could eat a lot more then I do if I wanted to yet I've only lost about 10lbs since then. It just doesn't seem like enough to make me so loose again. OH well, guess we'll find out.
  14. Checking in, nothing new to tell. Scale still refusing to move. can't get a fill because I have a revision surgery on the 9th of June. (not for band) Hopefuly I'll get one the week after. Kinda kicking my own rear, Back in Jan. I thought my goal weight was doable by 1 year mark. Now almost 5mo. later and only 10 lbs less then Jan. weight I know I won't make it. I just don't know how i lost so much the first 5 mo. and now 10lbs in 5 mo.? Can't quite figure out what I'm doing wrong. And still kinda confused about the whole fill thing. I'm just not sure when I need one. Anyway I am so happy things look better on the job front for your DH Orea. And wishing the best for all. I haven't moved my ticker in so long I can't remember my password, Darn it.
  15. Just wanted to say that I'm glad your doing better.:cursing:
  16. OH! and Happy mothers day to all.
  17. Ladies, I have never asked anything from you before but I am asking for your help now. Not for myself but for Orea, she is always there for any and all of us when we need an encouraging word or just a shoulder to cry on. Right now she is very worried about her DH and his job prospects. I was thinking maybe tomarrow at 3 O'clock, being that it's mothers day and all. We could take just one minute out of our own lives to pray for her to who ever you may pray to in hopes that her hubby will get a good job offer. And all will be good for her and her family. We stick togather and we should prey togather. I beleave good things can and will happen. So deal? know matter what your doing tomarrow at 3 O'Clock we bow our heads and send her our prayers and love OK?
  18. Cynthia, Know what your saying about the drains. HATE HATE them. Also, Nice to hear from you. Hope everything goes a little smoother for you from now on. Congrats on the loss. You seem to be doing good in that department.
  19. LOL (mud flaps) Now that's funny!
  20. Alright ya'll have motivated me. after reading this thread I feel like everyone is doing something but me. I haven't worked out since Jan. (had surgery) It all changes today. I'll just keep checking in on ya'll to keep me motivated so keep up the posting, Ya help more people then ya think.
  21. OH! and Jodi, CONGRATS on reaching your goal and so soon.
  22. And I'm even older yet, I was just talking about this on another thread. I reached for the phone at work the other day and it looked like I could take flight at any moment, That was the first time I noticed it. like Jodi I have the inner thigh issues We'll just refer to them as Elephant ears. Also the more weight I loose the older my face seems to look but I think that's more the older group. When younger people loose their faces seem to look younger. Oh well, haven't decided what I'm gonna do about the skin, I've already had aTT about 3yrs before the band and a lift and a BA that I'm still recovering from now. After the last surgery I told my DH it would be the last but I don't know. It just bites because I've been self pay for all of it band included. Anyway good luck
  23. The goal dress is a good idea, but brain surgery, I don't think so. I really don't want anyone messing with my brain. although I will say that I do think that's where all this comes from. When I was making bad food choices it was out of want not need. I would eat even when I wasn't hungry just because I wanted it. It can consume you, and still battle it everyday
  24. Yes I agree, When I went ahead with the lift I didn't think I was gonna be able to get the lap band because it cost $18 to $24 grand here and I'm self pay. But I was blessed because my DH knew how much I really wanted it and he surprised me 2 mo. after the lift with the money to get it done(in Mexico) So that's why I'm backwards.
  25. I think that's what I'll do today, a little on line shopping. 3/4 length, good idea. Most of the time I go that way for work anyway because I have about 10 tatoo's(was a wild child back in the day) and I work in my DH's office so I try to play the part for his sanity. We come from to differant worlds but he loves me anyway. Maybe I'll get lucky and find some on clearance.
