  1. It's been 15 days or me and I tried salmon yesterday. Took me 2 hours to get down a 2oz peice. It was so good but filled me up super quick. Planned on eating a tablespoon of cauliflower mash but that was out the question. I was stuffed. This is so funny how little fills you up. I thought i hit a stall but increased my fluid intake and the lbs came off this morning.
  2. Hang in there! Only 1 more day.

  4. Looking good. Hope to have these results too. .
  5. Congratulations!!! Look awesome. 35 more. Keep doing what your doing.
  6. https://www.dsfacts.com/weight-loss-stall-or-plateau Took from another thread but it seems to be a normal thing. Hope this article helps.
  7. Not snoring on a plane when I fall asleep. Being able to go to the pool with my daughter without a shirt. Never again hearing "What's up Big D."
  8. Lol@sleevynicks. Someone told my wife to watch out for burps. I'm Still looking for that info.
  9. 3 days out I was on water. Didn't introduce hello or protein until day 4. Every doc is different. Try to follow your guidelines though. Be 100% sure you can have that stuff so early.
  10. I hear it's common. Pulled this from another thread. Good explanation of what's going on. https://www.dsfacts.com/weight-loss-stall-or-plateau
  11. Congratulations!!! St. Lucia is on my list as well. Would love to be able to go to the beach shirtless like other guys. Thanks for the inspiration.
  12. Thank you fir the reassurance. Is it stupid that I'm dreading going back to work. I took some time off (2 weeks) and stupidly have anxiety over how noticeable it will be when I return next week. A few weeks ago I never would have cared.
  13. How's it going? Hope all is ok today?
  14. I agree... Each surgeon and person is different. I was sleeved on the 8th and like@reignmystic I'm waiting for that 14 day mark to start soft foods. I cheated a few days ago and painfully paid the price. Was looking forward to some eggs but anxious about the gas and if my tummy will take it. Down 22lbs in two weeks. I think I'm loosing way too fast. Doc says it's ok but I'm concerned.
  15. Yes. I had it on the 8th. Very happy I did it. This was my first major surgery too. Only had my tonsils removed. Just pray and prepare mentally for the change. I'm sure you've watched a ton of vids and know what to expect. Just remember that everyone is different. The stories I've read on here scared me actually and made me second guess it all. Just do what they tell you to and follow it to the letter. You'll be ok. I'll be praying for you.
  16. My NUT was over 300lbs and was sleeved over 3 yrs ago. She's looking great and if she hadn't told me she was sleeved, i wouldn't have known it. She keeps it confidential and doesn't let many people know but trust me you can do it. I also look at people starting weights to see if there is a comparison and I seen quite a few that were over 300 doing well today. It's normal to be nervous. I had second thoughts as well but I said to myself that if I didn't let everyone else stop me from getting to this point, i'm not going to stop myself. When's your surgery?
  17. I'm ready too. I just want some variety to breakfast. Egg or oatmeal sounds nice right about now. Just a few more days.
  18. No headaches, thankfully. Yesterday evening I felt a little weak. I didn't want to go walking today but I did. Glad I did too. I feel better and didn't have the weak feeling this morning. Trying to make walking a habit. Some reason they told me not to take pain meds by mouth. I was like, thats the only way to take them isn't it? If your doc gave you the ok to take an advil then go for it but i'd check first, just in case. Glad your doing better today too. Each day something else will get better.
  19. Whats a slider food?
  20. I skipped the movie with the family just so I wouldn't be tempted. @mrsdaniel2013 There is no way possible to go to a movie without popcorn.. and some raisinets... and soda... and nachos. See... this is why I need help :0(
  21. Same for me. Crystal light and lime water with Trivia (my version of limeade) has been my savior. I rotate in the morning have water, crystal light, then limeade. I count my soup as liquid too. its mostly water. I'm up to about 4-5 glasses per day. Hoping today will be better. I started off with a glass but been typing to much to drink. I'm off for a walk. Good luck on Thursday. Be prepared to get your a$$ handed to you a little. Good news is, you only have a few more weeks before you can get some different types of food in your body.
  22. I know this was for the ladies but I wasn't aware that you had to shave at all until the night before surgery a male nurse came in and said that he'd shave me in the morning from my chest to my knees. I was like, uhhh NO!!! Thats not happening. He looked pretty stern at me and said "YES! I have to shave you, Dr's orders..." like that was changing my mind. So I hopped on the phone with the doc and told him the belly was perfectly OK but not my "man bits." My wife had a good laugh and surely asked me after surgery if i was "bare down there." And don't anyone dare ask if it happened. LOL
  23. I screwed up and had a bit of pizza yesterday and it tore my stomach up something bad. (well like 5 bites) Wondering if the snickers did the same to you? ... You just replied as i'm typing this so I know the pain your going through. Doc told me to make sure i got my full 8 glasses in for the day, among some other words that I deserved. If it gets too bad give your Doc a call. Try to get some of those fudge pops to satisfy that immediate craving so no more slip ups but I doubt you need the encouragement. I know i'm not touching pizza again for a very long while.
  24. Hello all... New here and sleeved on April 8th. Many of you are before me so it's inspiring and informative to read how you are doing, what your going through and how you've made out. Today i'm 10 day's out and noticed I can take a few bigger sips of liquid. Hopefully I can get a some more liquid in during the day. I find it very difficult to keep a cup in my hand and sip every few minutes. The post surgery pain has subsided substantially after day 6. The first 4 days were terrible for me. I still had to use pain meds and spent 1 extra day in the hospital. I think the walking has helped eliminate it. I did attempt to cheat and have a bit of pizza yesterday. Why did i do that??? (StupidMcNupid) It hurt like crazy and I had to call the Doc. Won't go into what he told me... The pain was so bad I had to pray. Had a "#2 blowout" and felt a little better. 4 hours later i started to normalize and feel better. PLEASE, PLEASE don't follow my lead on that one. I was weak and paid the price so that you guys don't have to. Other than that, my energy levels are quite good. I'm sleeping earlier than normal and waking up a bit early as well. Thats good to get an early morning walk in. I'm unsure who's tracking calorie intake but each day (2 shakes / 2 soups / 3 tsp of yogurt) i'm averaging a little less than 500 calories a day. Scary for me. Doc say's don't worry but wondered how and how you guys that are close in dates to me are doing. D
