  2. Try searching "3 week stall" on here... literally hundreds of posts about the same thing you're going through. It's not only common, but I think maybe even necessary for a lot of people, to give the body time to catch up to the changes. The bad news seems to be that the dreaded 3 week stall can last several days or even weeks. Skipping daily weigh ins and reading about others going through the same thing seems to be the best advice I found. Just keep following your plan and stay positive...it will pass. Good luck! 9. Hey, lady. Yes, I am 3 days post op and doing much better. Pain is tolerable, full liquids started today and I don't seem to be having some of the side effects others have reported so far, so I really can't complain. I hope you're feeling better as well?

  12. Good morning, all. I'm a day behind, headed to check-in now, scheduled for surgery at 10am. Nervous beyond words. Keep us posted with your progress, congrats and speedy recovery to you both!

  14. I think I left nervous behind last week and am now bordering on near-hysteria, though I'm pretty prone to anxiety...just keep thinking about all the reasons you decided to do this and how much healthier and happier you'll be in a few short months. I'll never say it's going to be easy, but we both know it'll be worth it. Deep breath lady, you've got this.

  27. Are you meeting your target for protein intake? My NUT gave a super long explanation about the impact of too little protein, even for a relatively short time, on our hair. The short version-protein can't be substituted with supplements and has to come from food. If that for sure isn't the culprit, you could try a raw coconut oil mask. There's several recipes online with different essential oils that can be combined to strengthen, prevent loss, repair, etc (one good site is 'coconutmama'). Good luck! 28. I am new to this website and have been (sadly) following this thread for the last few days. I have no dog in this fight, but I do appreciate transparency, and am an advocate for those who are online seeking valid and reliable information for their own journey. I too went to the ALM Facebook page and saw no mention of this story to either confirm or deny the information, but have seen several prompts from you, Sandy, to do so. I am unsure why one would opt to call ALM directly for information when you have been so reluctant to willingly supply it here despite repeated requests, though you readily insinuate it is others who are being dishonest. This journey is difficult enough to navigate for most of us without childish actions such as yours further muddying the waters. I'm sure you'll have some contrite response instead of taking the feelings of a new member to heart, but I felt it needed to be said. Sent from my XT1585 using BariatricPal mobile app
  29. I'm fairly early on in my journey (and in the thick of all things lovely with my insurance company) and this was exactly the inspiration I needed tonight. Thank you. More importantly, you look amazing and so happy!! Sent from my XT1585 using BariatricPal mobile app

  32. When I had my EGD done, the doc told me that he biopsied all patients for the H. Pylori bacteria just to be on the safe side. I don't know if maybe that's standard practice pre-surgery? I'm sure everything will come back ok for you [emoji6] Sent from my XT1585 using BariatricPal mobile app
