Hi, My insurance wouldn't pay...the cheapest I found in MN was 17K. Too expensive for me. So, I did go down to Mexico, paid $7500 and wouldn't trade the experience for the world. I have found a place that will do my fills here in MN. So far, all is well. It is unfortunate that the cost of health care in the US if pretty much out of reach for your common, everyday, blue-collar worker. I'm glad Mexico didn't discrimminate. Kari

I got rejected by Tricare, so I went down to Mexico 3 weeks ago and had it done there for $7500.00. Loved my experience and am glad I didn't let my rejection discourage me. Kari

Hi there, I am Tricare Prime with a BMI of 33 and no co-morbidities and Tricare wouldn't even look at me. So, as of Mon, March 24th I am going down to Mexico to have my lap band placed for $7500 by the number one lap band physician on the continent. I have heard nothing but good reports from people who have been down there...I'm hoping I can add to those good reports. Kari
