Hey I had the same thing around the same time period. Even today it was draining rusty stuff all over my shirt because I had thought it had stopped so therefore nothing was put on it. But, my surgeon said it was fine. To just keep him posted if it was oozing or red. Which I have neither, and the bruising is almost faded.

Hey All! I weighed myself this morning and I'm down 8lbs!! I decided to just finally weigh myself once a week on Weds. otherwise I'm too focused on the number. Maybe it's just me but when I first woke up from surgery I thought "what did I do?", it's like I'm happy that I did it but at the same time I kind of get mad at myself for going through with it....please tell me this feeling will go away. My mother had it done and she has had amazing results. I've thought about getting this for over a year so it wasn't just something I did overnight. I guess it's just something I have to get used to....before hand i was so so so excited about this journey but now that I actually have it in place I'm kind of sad about it. I know that is not how it should be but I just can't shake it. Also, before i got it I had no problem telling everyone that would listen that I was getting it done. But, now I wish I would've kept my mouth shut and never told anyone about it. UGH!!! What is my deal?!! Sorry so long.....

The first day I could only drink about 4 oz of water. Then the next day I babysat a 20 oz bottle water because I was scared to drink it...but then today I finished a protein shake in about 15-20 min. It really doesn't take long for me to finish my water or broth....I think it's mostly nerves that has me taking longer to drink something.

I just had mine done on the 16th by Dr. Lahmann. I strongly recommend him and his group at Silver Cross in Joliet

Oops! what I meant by XRAY was a Flouroscopy. I know several people who had the band done all by different surgeons and they all had it done.

Great job!! Well, I think I'm doing fine but then I pick up the pace a bit and then it hits me that I have some not so pleasant pain coming from my abdomen. It's like I'm trying to do everything I did before yesterday and realizing that I really can't yet. I have a little gas pain but nothing major...thank goodness!!

No, I don't believe they did it in my sleep. We asked my nurse and she said they only did it for bypass patients

Hello All! I'm officially banded as of yesterday!!!! I can't believe it's done and now the real fun begins But, I didn't get an xray to make sure everything went ok....did any of you experience that?

Congrats!! I'm nervous about my liver too. Mine is on the 16th and have lost 11lbs so far I hope to lose some more by then.

I agree with you Titantiff....just because you have a fear of lying there naked (like I do) does NOT mean that all of sudden you have to go over your priorities. Seriously, do you really think we will not get the surgery just because of that?! Give me a break
