  1. I had shrimp yesterday 3.5 weeks out. It was great. Grilled might be too dry. Mine was in a work with an oyster sauce from a Chinese place.
  2. start drinking and walking.
  3. I made the mistake of trying white meat chicken today. Really bad idea.

  6. you managed to drink 3 bottles all by yourself? Wow you mustve been totally hammered! I know the feeling though, before surgery there were times when i would just try to drink a couple beers and then go through a whole 12 pack in an evening and then be pissed off at myself for the next two days for being out of control. I am glad knowing now it will be very difficult for me to consume beer now.
  7. Nothing halts weight loss like alcohol

  11. i was in a similar position. the day after i was wearing shorts and a tshirt and walking around and felt pretty good. By the end of the day i realized the injections they put in my abdomen for pain had filtered out, and the IV was drugs were out, and then it really hit me. Did quite a bit of napping for two days after that. Slept for about 12 hours a day. THen after 4 days felt much better.
  12. I think you just need to remember you are playing the long game here and need to focus that way on doing the basics. Adn definitely need the water.... obsessing over 3 lbs is probably not good for you.
  13. could be drug related too. If you are taking the nausea or constipation medicine that might do it. You obviously dont need constipation meds.
  14. I am feeling much better, other than some bruising and pain from incisions. However, i really didnt expect to be this hungry so soon. I heard of people who took months or a year before they feel hungry again, but i am hungry about every 4 hours. Doing shakes and soups, but would really like some chicken. Anyone else run into this?
  15. I haven't been under 200 since the first George Bush was president
  16. I had mine done Wednesday and feel a lot better today. Been walking about two miles a day. I am taking the minimu m drugs. Carafate and acid reducer. They gave me hydrocodone but not taking that. Using Tylenol instead. Forcing myself to sip water all day. Today I went to smoothie king and got a high protein smoothie with yogurt and it made me feel a lot better.
  17. On a flight it will be even worse due to cabin pressure.
  18. i had mine done wednesday and i am in a world of pain right now.
  19. I have been told by my doctor at UT Southwestern that ambulatory providers will often urge customers to have the gull bladder removed because they can bill more to insurance. Often times she says its not necessary and doesnt recommend it unless there are issues at time of surgery. She says her goal is to cut and stitch as little as possible and keep patient open for as short a time as possible and under gas as short as possible.
  20. After a year of meetings and doctors appointmentsay I'm three days away from surgery. Readyntour get this done. Feeling nervous since I've never had surgery or even been in the hospital before
  21. I think most of them say no alcohol to help you keep from falling back into bad habits of empty calorie consumption. I know my problem wasnt sweets or gourging myself on certain foods. it was primarily craft beer that got me to where i am.
  22. This is a great post. Made me grin. One of those battle stories you will be able to tell people for years....
  23. Man....OP seems super pissy. Probably as bad as the people she is complaining about....
