My surgeon prescribes Actigall for all patients with a gallbladder. I'm on it twice daily for 6 months, big capsules but thankfully they are not making me open them up (which used to be the recommendation for their practice and supposedly tasted horrible).
My paperwork states they will call you one week post op to see how things are going, this past Monday was one week for me and no call. I didn't have the best hospital stay so I'm not really surprised.
I was sleeved 10/2 and the gas pains just began easing up today. Having trouble getting my fluids and protein in (and all those yummy protein waters are now disgusting). Short term pain for long term gain though. Glad to hear your surgery went well.
Not far away, I'll be at Henry Ford Macomb. Its definitely starting to feel real. My liquid diet starts Monday then I have my final weigh in next Wednesday.
Surgery scheduled for next month. My husband will be staying the two nights at the hospital with me. Our kids will be staying with my mom. He said he will likely go home to shower and give my mom a break for a few hours before coming back.
