  1. I think I am feeling a little true hunger today for the first time. We spent 2.5 hours at Sea World and now that we are back at our hotel I am looking forward to the variety of soups I ordered from a local Chinese take out. I took it really slow walking around and we didn't stay very long. I am tired ,but not feeling too bad. I am amazed myself that I feel this good. I have some MOM at home waiting for me at home on Sunday. I am glad to hear it worked for you.
  2. Well my husband and I are back in San Diego. We are planning to go to Sea World this afternoon for a little while since we have free military passes. I will remember to take it slow. I feel blessed that I am doing well enough that I want to go. Still no BM here. I think I will take something on Sunday when we get home if it hasn't happened before then. I hope everyone has a good day today.
  3. Thus far I haven't , but I have noticed that I fatigue a lot sooner than I would like. Baby steps are what we need to remember. I hope the muscle cramps ease up for you.
  4. I haven't started taking my vitamins yet. I believe my plan says week two. I like that app for reminding me. Thanks for posting it @Newme17
  5. Yes. I have been rinsing frequently with mouthwash. I think it is because our bodies are in ketosis from lack of carbs.
  6. I feel the same way. You all are my lifeline and such great support!
  7. @Sweet as peaches I would say yes! I expected to feel worse than I have. I think I was mentally preparing myself for the worst. The first day was rough because I hate feeling nauseous and throwing up, but everyday since I have been feeling better and better. I think for me the greatest thing is the hope of my diabetes going into remission. It is early yet to claim victory since I am only on clear liquids, but since day 2 my bs haven't gone above 115.
  8. Yes, I agree. Every time I came out of my room to walk if my husband wasn't with me they were right by my side walking with me. I never had to worry about anything.
  9. Wow you had an eventful night @Newme17. I hope you didn't strain yourself too much. I was pretty tired this afternoon after walking around a local food market here in Tiajuna. I hope your daughter feels better.
  10. I have to give a shout out to the valets working for Bariactric Pal MX. Today Juan took us to a great seafood restaurant that served shrimp broth. Well I don't eat shellfish and he had no way of knowing that. I was really ok with it because I wasn't even hungry and I told him I would just get some broth at the hotel. Well a few hours later he calls me and says he is out and would pick me up some French onion broth from Caesars because he knew how much I liked it and he felt bad that i didn't like the shrimp broth. Now that is someone who truly cares about taking care of their patients. I have had such a great experience here and I want to let anyone know if they are still thinking about using Bariactric Pal, just do it, you won't be disappointed.
  11. You are Lucy for sure, but amazingly I have been satisfied with the clear liquids. I think for me having good savory broth is the key. I haven't felt any true hunger yet, but I have had a little head hunger watching my dh eat.
  12. Ok. I am glad to know that it isn't just me. I have always been the one who is hot so this is different for me.
  13. Sorry you are feeling a little rough. I haven't had a BM yet either, but I think it is normal to take several days for that to happen. Has anyone noticed that they get cold easy? I have been getting chilled a lttle everyday and I have been thinking it is from lack of calories.
  14. Today I am three days post op and I wanted to come back to this thread , my first on this sight, and answer my own question. No I was not crazy for considering surgery and having it done in Mexico with Bariactric Pal. My experience thus far has been amazing. Everyone has been very nice and has taken such good care of my husband and I. I am feeling better everyday and I know I made the best decision. I have not taken any of my medication for type 2 diabetes and my bs has been completely normal so far.
  15. Not a problem at all @bilbisgfy. I am happy to help. You will love the broth. I can honestly say that my experience here in Mexico with Bariactric Pal has been amazing. I am feeling better everyday and have felt so well cared for. Better then any hospital in the states.
  16. Yes I can confirm it is the best broth I have ever tasted, and we got it at Caesars. That was my lunch and dinner yesterday.
  17. I had a good night, but I was up every two hours to pee. I took advantage of that and sipped on my Gatorade active water ... lol I see a new normal for me at night. I didn't take a pain pill before I fell asleep and ended up taking one around 2:30 because I was a little sore. I am a side sleeper so I rolled on my side and now my one incision is a little tender. I was wide awake at 5:00am so I decided to just go ahead and get up. I am working on taking my meds. and then I will get a shower and walk around the hotel. I am looking forward to a cup of decaf coffee. My goal for today is to hit 36 oz of fluids or more if I can. I am feeling better everyday.
  18. You have done really well @Newme17. I am ok west coast time though so maybe when today is done I will have 20-30oz down.
  19. Prayers for a safe surgery tomorrow @fatima635. I hope you are able to get a good nights rest.
  20. @mishyk I am on clear liquids the first week also. I am drinking broths, flavored waters, juice, etc. I am also allowed jello and sugar free popsicles. I will start full liquids on week 2. I am not hungry at all yet so I am fine with the clear liquids so far.
  21. It was about 45 minutes. I have 4 small incisions. I don't really have any pain from the incisions just gas pain and bloating. I was nauseous the first day, but that has passed.
  22. Glad to meet you @fatima635. Like newme17 said the first day was rough, but everyday I am feeling a little bit better. I just need to remind myself I just had surgery so i don't over do it. I am only 2 days post op but I am glad I had the surgery.
  23. Have you felt hungry yet? I haven't even thought about food except to keep sipping because I know I am supposed too.
