  1. LOL.
  2. Oh my gosh, I'm so excited for you. Prayers.
  3. What are the reasons they will cover the stomach? I'm getting surgery in July ( I pray ) and I know my tummy will sag. Is there a medical reason for the surgery?
  4. Does anybody get B-12 injections? If so, How is that going? Do you need one a month or what.
  5. All anger is is fear. I'm sure that he is just worried about you. When I told my husband he right away did his own research. He wasn't thrilled at first but now he's on board. He still will make comments " you know, you can't eat this or that or go to a buffet " He just wants me to think this through. I don't get offended by his remarks. I just know that he cares. He did go to my first orientation with me. I'm okay if he misses my appointments. He works funny hours. I pray that you and your husband gets through this closer than ever.
  6. My list goes on and on. Being able to wear old clothes and my wedding ring to start. Going up the stairs and not being in pain. Running around with my grandkids. Not dreading going somewhere and running into an old friend and seeing the look on their face when they see you. Most of all my health. I just want to be here for a long time living a very healthy life.
  7. I agree revesefoward. Some people say things like " I know someone that got real sick from that surgery or It only lasts for a short time then you gain it all back". Also, My BMI is 35.6 but I have four health issues that go along with being obese. My sister-in-laws are saying that I'm not fat enough to have the surgery. According to the guild lines I DO qualify. I'm not going to tell too many people. I've already learned my lesson.
  8. Same here. My first real appointment is today. I'm so excited as well. I pray that you have an easy time with your new adventure.
  9. Praying for you Cranky Pants.
  10. Does insurance pay for That kind of surgery?
  11. That's great!. I'm so happy for you. I'll say a prayer for you.
  12. So far I have seen every episode. She is the whole reason I started this journey. I'm not saying that she is my role model but I had no idea this surgery existed. So I guess I have her to thank. I'm also not an idiot. Every since I've been watching her I have done research on the surgery. I just got approved yesterday through my insurance. I am over the moon right now. My God is good!
  13. Very true. Thank you for your advise.
  14. My first appointment is this coming Monday. I'm hoping I qualify for the sleeve surgery. I'm 5'6 and 222 lbs. I have high cholesterol, I have sleep apnea and other health issues related to my weight. When I told a few of my husbands family, they all said I was crazy and wasn't big enough to have it. I meet the requirements according to the guildelines. I'm thinking about not telling anyone else because of the reaction that I got from them. My weight does go up and down, so I can just say I'm on another diet. I did tell one of my kids and she thought it was a good idea. What are your thoughts?
  15. Yes, with medication.
  16. I just set up my 1st appointment to see if I qualify for the sleeve. I'm a bit nervous because I'm 5'6 and 222 pounds. I do have a c-pap , high cholesterol and depression. I hope and pray they will agree to do the surgery. Has any of you been in my shoes?
