  4. I too have started the bike riding. I had my husband replace the tubes and i am happy to say I rode for about nearly 30 min this evening. It felt great! I started with 15 min. I really dont know how far i went, but I was just happy to ride. Not a fancy bike, just a plain ole one that I found at a next to new store for $20. I was banded 4/1/08 and so far have lost17 lbs...working on getting to onderland.........
  5. I love this fish. I often will grill it with spray butter and lemon pepper. It is really good that way.

  8. This is day 4 post surgey for me as I was banded 4/1. I feel the best I have felt so far, but still have the gas pains, and yes I am farting alot too. Not fun, but I want to get it out of my system. I added protein yesterday (liquid forms). Patiently waiting to not have gas anymore!
  9. I too have the gas pains...I was banded 4.1.08 in Dallas. Walking doesnt seem to help, nor does the gasx strips that I have been using. Today the gas pains were like severe period cramps..does anyone have any other ideas that may help?
  10. I was banded 4/1 and also have to use that spirometer. It is actually harder to breath into that thing than I thought it would be. I have had the gas pains through my shoulder. I hope tomorrow will be better. This is only day 2
  11. Hi I just was banded 4/1 and still feel lots of gas pains in my shoulder. GASEX doenst seem to be helping. I have pain in my did when i get up and when i try and lay down. I walk around the house and got dressed today for the first time. I really hope I start to feel a bit more normal soon.
  12. I got the magic bullet for Christmas in anticipation for my banding. I expect it will come in very handy. I was just banded 4/1
  13. Dr Fox in Dallas will be my surgeon on Tuesday @ Medical Cities Hospital. I am taking the rest of teh week off @ work and Will be taking my pillow along!
  14. I got the SF popsicles the other day. Liquid Tylenol is s great idea and I think the gasex as well. I take my own vitamins that I market and I do understand that I am not to mention that. But I have a powder multi to mix in things as well as a chewable calcium magnesium supplement. I have a list for my last run to the store before Tuesday: baby spoons, small 2 oz cups, brown sugar substitute. Does any one use that unjury unflavored protein? if so, how is it?
  15. My girlfriend went to WEndys and got a chili, blended it up and said it was really good...she added a little water, but used it during the liquid (not clear stage). Does that make sense?
  16. Someone told me to use one of those Small Squishy pillows and hold it against the area were the band is located and that helps relieve the pain,. She even took it with her to the hospital and held it on her stomach area on the way home.
  17. That is a GREAT idea, I will be having surgey on Tuesday, April 1 and am getting prepared. I have alot of SF Jello, severaly crystal light flavors to mix in water, boullion, broth, etc. I know it says thin, clear liquids for the first three days and want to be prepared. Any other suggestions I would appreciate! thankx
  18. hey cool crystal. I also am in the Dallas area and will be banded this coming Tues....nervously excited here
  19. I would like to add my two cents as well. I am new to the postings but am also nervous as my surgery is scheduled for this coming Tues..I have 5 friends that have had it, and out of them all are doing very well. One of them had to have it removed as her body rejected it but now she is finishing her weight loss journey through ww. I am excitedly nervous and just want to get on with it!
  20. Hi, I am new to the board, but I can tell you that sleep apnea was what qualified me for the lap band, which I am excited to say that I will be banded this coming Tuesday, April 1. During the 6 month nutritional counseling, and other things that I had to do, I did a sleep study. I have been using the machine since Mid June. I just had the nasal pillows replaced yesterday and slept better last night.
  21. Hello All. I started the process to get approved for banding and just got my call two weeks ago. I will be banded on March 31. I am very excited and nervous at the same time. I look forward to many words of wisdom around here as I am truly a newbie.
