Paid In Full!
I was going to have to pay off my surgery a little at a time, but between taxes and an unexpected bonus windfall, my entire surgery was paid off before I even flew home. What a relief! Down 34 pounds, and a long way to go. But, now I have cheekbones! Teehee!

Did you have to exercise up to 2hrs and 15mins or equivalent it to 5000 steps everyday to be cleared by your psych?
The most current research Ive hears of says that walking longer continues to add benefits up to 90 minutes per day. After 90 minutes, the benefits plateau and some other exercise type is recommended.

Nervous at Two Days Pre-Op
I am two days from my surgery and feeling quite anxious at moments. I usually turn Scarlett O'Hara and decide to think about stress later, but it is now later. I'm not second guessing my decision in any way, but I am struggling with nerves whenever I realize it will involve being poked by needles and worse. I have an irrational fear of hollow needles I am slowly overcoming, but I have not mastered yet. I don't want to embarrass myself in front of all those nurses and doctors by having to psych myself up to holding my arm down for the prick that I know isn't terrible but I still fear. How did you calm yourself in the final lead-up to your surgery?

What to tell people?
I'm afraid to tell my mom, because she is super dedicated to the mainstream medical establishment. She would not approve of me going to Mexico for the surgery. So, I've only told my hubby, kids, one sister, and one sister in law.

Looking for buddies Late March/Early April surgery
April 10 for me. Day 10 of 3 week, liquid only, 1000 calorie diet. Down 19 pounds. Very tired. Overall happy and very excited. I've been mourning food, though. Brie. Bacon. Kale. Melted mozzarella or cheddar. Subway Chipotle sauce. They top the list. At least the premier chocolate shakes taste good. Hope your pre and post surgery stuff is going okay.
