  2. Hi, I had my date less than a month after psh. evaluation. I love my band and Dr. Byrne. I have lost about 40 pounds since June. It was the BEST thing I have ever done for myself. I was self pay so I am sure that help make things move alot faster.
  3. Hey I am a new band person. I have not had a fill but will next week. My question is this: I live 5 hrs from the Doctor. How long does it take after a fill to know if the restriction is too much? I am so worried about getting a fill, going home and not being able to swallow. Any info would be appreciated.
  4. I asked the same ? a couple of months ago. I was banded 2 weeks ago. I am 59 . I have had no problems and feel great. It is a tough decision but I am so glad I made it.
  5. Hi, My friend and I were both banded on June 10. We had a very satisfactory experience with MUSC and Dr. Byrne and staff. You can't get more top notch I don't think. We are both 1 week out and doing great so far. We are 50plus too.

  9. Has anyone had lapband with a condition called Essential Thrombocythemia? It is a disorder that causes production of too many platelets. I have ET but have been in remission 10 years. ???? anyone??? thanks aas
