  1. I did my psych evaluation through bariatricpsychevaluations.com. They call you, you talk for 15 minutes and answer basic questions and you're done. Full clearance in a matter of minutes. My surgeon and insurance had no issue with it whatsoever. I don't recommend if you have serious issues you need to work through with a psychologist, but if you just need surgery clearance I highly recommend
  2. Waiting is the worst. Mine was submitted on 2/20 and I'm in the waiting phase right now too.
  3. I have mine scheduled for next Tuesday and I'm irrationally nervous. I hate people touching my neck/throat so I'm just totally on edge. I hope the anesthesia makes me 100% out of it.
  4. I don't have my exact date yet, but I will be April as well! I have my endoscopy next Tuesday which I'm not looking forward to. After that, they'll give me an official April sleeve date!
  5. It's exciting when things start to move quick. Things moved fast for me too. I had my first appointment on January 13th. By the 20th I had completed EKG, pulmonary function test, psych eval, primary care clearance, lab work, and ultrasound. Now I'm just waiting on insurance for clearance!
  6. Hi! What are some questions you asked your surgeon in your final pre-op appointment? What do you wish you would have asked now that you've gone through the surgery? I'm compiling my list and here is what I have to ask so far: -How will the incisions be closed- stitches? staples? -What is the best way to prevent infection/how to care for inciscions -Will I have a drain? If so, how long?
