Yes ik they are a proven weight loss, I'm an RN on a surgical floor and I care for these ppl everyday...I meant fad as they are the "new" weight loss option being pushed by surgeons like the Lapband was years ago but it has faded out in my area (which is a large hospital in PA.) many surgeons refuse to do Lapbands and GERD pts will hardly ever get a recommendation for a sleeve here.

RN on surgical floor and soon to b pt myself, yes abdominal binders are on everyone of our bypass n sleeve pts. Helps hold everything in place to relieve the pressure and pain. A lot of belly drs make their pts wear them.

I had the sleeve in 2011...lost 50 pounds and was stuck no matter what I did. Dietitian was stumped. Serious case of things getting stuck, regurgitation and inflammation of my stomach. Developed a hiatal hernia also. After dealing with it for years finally talked to dr about next steps or treatments. She recommended rny and I did my homework plus I'm a RN on the surgical floor so got to see first hand. It's a very personal choice and you have to do what's best for you and do your homework on both. It took me 6 years for heaven sake to decide lol. Pray and pray about it and your answer will come to you sweetheart!

Ask for TED hose, do your foot pumps while sedentary and take the lovenox!!! Abdominal surgeries are notorious for PE's and the needle is so tiny,takes 2 seconds and they're prefilled so messing around with drawing up from heparin to fuss with.....sry nurse come out lol. Just b safe over sorry ??

No nsaids only Tylenol due to risk of bleeding guys

When I inquired online a lady emailed me back that's how I found out. Called bariatric coordinator today to c what was up n she said they never called her. She just called me and said insurance gave her my approval #. I go may 1 to sign consent for may 23 surgery!!
